I love all the book talk, I read anything and everything!  I'm not so keen on fantasy and historical fiction, but saying that have read some fabulous books in those genres.

I mean to watch Anne with an E, but I really love this version:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_of_Green_Gables_(1985_film) and don't know if any other series could compare!

I'm now on season 3 of Virgin river, and get what you mean about it being depressing.  Seriously, how much disaster can one small town have?  I'm still enjoying it overall though.

I've been watching Virgin River as well but I'm not as keen on season 3. With her being a nurse I expected more medical stories with their day to day lives running as a background theme. Her log cabin is lovely though :) Mind you, not sure I'd be happy if hubby opened the door and whoever was stood there could see me in bed! x

Good morning and Happy Saturday 🌺🌸
I agree about the Virgin River cabin, lovely, but strange….and you’d have to keep everything tidy as you couldn’t just shut the door on it! They all seem so lovely and respectful of everyone’s feelings and then do random hurtful things without thinking about anyone else at all…and what’s wrong with just telling someone what just happened/what you just did?
No spends planned for today. As I said before, I totally bombed out on July money saving (more in my end of month write up….see what I did there? Cliffhanger 🤣), but I have spent time writing up an ambitious savings plan, which a target for December and another for this time next year. There’s not much room for falling off the wagon if I want to meet the targets.
I hope you all enjoy your days ⭐️☕️

Yes, I always think open plan living that's fashionable at the moment looks lovely, but I need doors to close on my mess, especially the kitchen after I've been cooking. I'd have permanent indigestion if I had to sit in the same room to eat that I'd cooked in looking at all the pots in the sink and the pans that needed washing!

I love a good savings plan with targets so looking forward to reading more about that. Always found mine much more achievable when it was down in black and white on here. Somehow going it alone never seems to work for me. Have a lovely day. x

We're open plan downstairs.  Never again. I hate it. Front room is freezing in the winter, you get the cooking smells throughout and competing noise for tv and radio.  I like the radio on when I'm cooking or washing up but have to use earphones.  At least it gives me a good excuse to pretend I can't hear MrM talking to me 🤣

I struggle to keep one room tidy…doors are a must 😂
MrWW likes to grumble and moan about things (why me, times a thousand), so I don’t often realise when an answer is expected 😬 I’m an expert tuner outer now or it makes me grumpy too!
The sun has reached us today, it’s cracking the flags! Dog is too hot outside, but moans to go out constantly 😖
And today I missed breakfast and filled in with 3 hotel chocolat chocolates 😏

Yes, it's lovely, but agree about the bed!

I couldn't have an open plan house either, I like to shut away the kitchen and also get away from the TV sometimes.
