I’ve just finished watching the Outlander series and not sure whether to get the books as the TV series was an emotional rollercoaster.

I have the books. The first was good, the second got a bit boring and I abandoned ship. The writing style wasn’t one I warmed to for some reason. I did like watching it, but for some reason missed the last of it…I think like the books it just got a bit…something! I normally love costume dramas too.

Ooh costume dramas and historical fiction is my kind of talk! I love history.

I have a book to collect from the library.  Not read much at all the past 18 months but need to try and get back to it.

I love them all. I started off with Georgette Heyer books in my teens and never looked back 😃

Well Friday at last, 🥳. Happy Friday everyone.
I don’t know why I get so excited about Fridays when they are still work days 😂
No spends planned and still no sun! We did have some for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon, so that was nice 😬

Lovely and sunny here on the south coast. Enjoying my day 'off' before 7yo finishes school as well. I LOVE Georgette Heyer and still reread them often 😂 I also loved Outlander but agree the constant violence gets a bit much. I think the later ones are better. I love a good old HF saga!

My Georgette Heyer’s were falling apart so much that I replaced some…and now I replace them on kindle when they are on the 99p offers. I love them, always fun, twisty tales and always a happy ending. Which are your favourites? I think Devils Cub and The Grand Sophy are mine.

Not read Georgette Heyer. My favourite is CJ Sansome as they involve detective work too.

I don't think that I've read any Georgette Heyer but when I was younger I wanted to be Mary in "The Secret Garden" or Katy from "What Katy Did".

I loved The Secret Garden. When I was a bit older I always wanted to be in Biggles 😁. I like Phillipa Gregory, but she did get a bit samey towards the end. I love all the Sharpe books (some excellent battles in there) and I like fantasy like Patricia Briggs, etc. I have all the Jack Reachers and I loved the Robert Galbraith Strike books.  I read a lot though and have a wide range. I don’t like chick lit much at all. 

I’m always on the look out for new authors though 😁
Did anyone watch Anne with an E on Netflix, based on Anne of green gables? That was lovely 😊
