@CRANKY40 The drive was lovely, the sun was shining and the sea was very, very blue. 

I’m afraid bare minimum is my housework goal all the time! 

@doingitanyway my quilting is like your name, I’m no expert, but I’m doing it anyway. I stumbled on a YouTube set of tutorials (5) called My First Quilt by Melanie Ham about 2 years ago. I had a sewing machine that I’d spent ages learning to thread and then got overwhelmed and stashed it in a corner for several years, so when I saw the tutorials I decided to have a bash. She shows you step by step how to make a small lap quilt and she is so easy to follow along with. I went from the tiny practice straight into a king sized and haven’t looked back. I’m still no good, but I recommend giving it a go!

We live by the Mersey. The first time that I saw clear seawater off the coast of Ireland I was amazed. My sister is coming to stay next weekend so I may have other visitors too hence the need to upgrade from "Look at the state of this place" to "Not that bad really".

I've made a few quilts in the past and my guilty pleasure is Missouri Quilt Co tutorials. I prefer watching somebody else make them these days, saves me having to clear up the mess

I love those too. They make it look so effortless (especially the ones with a gazillion pound long arm and all the gear!)

Good morning and happy Monday 🌸🌺
This week is all about getting to pay day without spending! Counting today I have 12 NSD’s, so need to have another 3 before the end of the month to make it to target (plus no money to spend anyway!)
I really need to get into this not spending habit.
Dave Ramsey quote of the day…’change is not easy, if it was, everyone would do it’.

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday ⭐️

I woke this morning thinking about my July run down and plans for August. I will post this in the next few days, but the bad news is I overspent on utter pish and my spending money for august will be reduced if I want to hit my savings target! I think this month I will bore you all with my dull and uninteresting purchases so you can tell me off when I’m anywhere near over budget 😬 I will keep a count of what I’ve spent and have left and see if that keeps me on track. I have made an extra tab in my spreadsheets to track detail of monthly ‘pocket money’ spends and have made a nice little chart to colour in on no spend days 😁 it should only be books and the odd foody bits really as I have no birthdays next month.
Right, best get back to the grindstone…wishing you all a wonderful happy day 🌸🌺
