It's a complete nightmare they recieved my surf2 response on the 6th June and iv had my original documents back weeks ago but nothing since then. I'm gonna give it until the end of July and then go down the complaints route0

Yeah i'm just going to wait til 23rd then do the same as yourself. If we owed them money it would be a completely different story. Still no update since sending back surf2 letter! Getting beyond a joke now. Has anyone got further forward by putting a complaint in?0

Delays are because there aren't enough staff, with the extra workload caused by pandemic (remember HMRC has brand new schemes to run now, i.e. CJRS and SEISS).
Every one who calls every day or every week and who complains is just going to create further delays by diverting resources.
We all need to be patient.1 -

I received the letter requesting further information. Do I need to write the cover letter confirming that I have receipts for expenses? How does it work please?0 -

Yes but not pay slips. I am employed so they asking for ID and documents as laid out. I am not sure if I need to send cover letter with it? I would just write a cover letter to make sure you've given them everything they've asked for otherwise your response will just get delayed0
