Thrifty Taylor - Sorry to hear about OH. That must have been such a shock for you. He's in the best place for care. Remember to try and take care of yourself. xxx
Today I got my hair done. I cannot believe the difference. It's fair cheered me up and spurred me on to start really looking after my appearance again.. There was a lady who came in whilst I was there. Cut and blow dry later and she looked like a completely different person. The hairdresser said after she left "I hope she's told her family she's having her hair done or they won't recognise her!" Think there's a lot of us in the same boat.
Smoked salmon salad for lunch and beef olives in slow cooker for dinner. Celery soup waiting to cool and be blended for tomorrow. Getting through the freezer and having different things.
Travel restrictions are being eased a bit in Scotland from Friday so hopefully we will be able to get out for a few walks just outside our local authority area.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -

Thrifty Taylor - Sending you hugs.
Tiny spend today.
Grateful for:
A couple of things being sorted out in work.
Found out opening times of a local cs, going to try and get there after work this week so that I can cross it off my list of things to do on Saturday.
Taking a few bits to a local recycling point after work, able to cross it off my list of things to do on Saturday.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20136 -
@Thrifty_Taylor so sorry to hear about your OH, I hope he gets all the support and treatment he needs. Sending hugs to you all.
NSD number 9 today. Busy day at work which is good I guess as time goes quickly. Just been for a quick swim and now waiting for dinner to cook.6 -
Today I am grateful for an early morning run, for finding some books with dd in the Ch shops, for a good chat with neighbours, for dd loving the slackline, for Star Trek in all its variations.

NSD # 7, should've been a spend day as i need 2 birthday cards for friends this week but i didn't have time to go to the shops so that is a task for another day. Had a good day at work and a meeting this evening but finished just after 7. Went for a walk and had ham salad for tea. DD2 has smashed her phone screen; claiming on t0sc0 phone insurance costs £35, DDhas found a place that charges £50 - conclusion = no point having insurance, might as well put away £10 each month just in case
Gratitudes - I wasn't in charge of the tech at the meeting this evening (it went wrong and i would've been clueless!); nice evening walk; cosy bed

Thrifty_taylor- it sounds like a worrying day, he will be getting the treatment he needs and I hope you can see him soon.
Monday- NSD 7/16.
Busy day at work, one of those days where my to-do list got longer as the day went on. The urgent stuff got done and the rest will happen before the end of the week.
Grateful today for seeing some cows out in the fields- a definite sign of Spring, a very funny series of books I am reading DD at bedtime and a laugh out loud ridiculous What's App chat on our work group.

Sending love @Thrifty_Taylor sad to hear your news.
Definitely not a NSD yesterday. Haircut...feel like a new woman. Just work otherwise! Nothing to report apart from sticking to my aims and moving towards payday! (and my B'day).
Looking forward to the Sewing Bee later. 🪡

Thank you all for your kind words & best wishes xx
He had two lots of dialysis yesterday & a blood transfusion. Our three sons spoke to him last night, so it eased their minds a lot. It's so hard living 400 miles away from him on an island! I'm getting regular updates from the hospital which helps.
Managed to sleep myself last night, so I feel human again. Nsd#7
Grateful for speaking to hubby, him getting the treatment he needs & the support from friends & familyUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
