Morning all,
Very low spend day yesterday...exchanged something that I had bought online, in an actual shop! And then went and weighed myself in B00ts. Actually shook! Quite a bit of work to do! Off to get my haircut today, what a gorgeous treat and then I will dye it.
Gratitudes and delights for yesterday.
- sunshine and a brief soiree into the teaming town of Brighton.
- food ready to go in the fridge - delish at that
- A really good sleep3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000
Stocks and shares ISA: £1497
Additional pension contributions £0
Overpayment on mortgage: £0

Yesterday was the day from hell. Phoned the doctors about hubby, after a couple of calls from the nurse practitioner, the doctor phoned. He called an ambulance for hubby which arrived at lunch time. Two hours later, I was able to see him. They were just about to whisk him away for a chest xray when that was stopped & they told us he had renal failure. Doctor said she's never seen a case so bad. We went to the high dependency unit at 5pm, then he went by helicopter to Aberdeen hospital. No room for me to go too. I've hardly slept, but got mum her to support us. Phoned hospital this morning as had a missed call at 1.30am. He's on intensive care, he's had dialysis overnight and getting another lot this morning then a blood transfusion. Was also able to speak to hubby, so it put my mind at rest. Doctor is phoning me this morning.
Grateful for hubby getting treatment, the support of some fabulous friends & family, & all of you special people on this thread xUse it up, wear it out

Big hugs @Thrifty_Taylor, you must be in such shock, hopefully they can do what's needed now.
Took the dreaded MIL out for a walk yesterday, I'm very concerned about how hard she found it. At Christmas we made easily a mile along the canal and back and yesterday she struggled to do a quarter of that. We had a hot drink and a bacon batch sitting outside at the marina, it was lovely just being out. Not nearly as busy as I expected it to be, I did overhear someone saying that they'd had to queue to get into TKM@xx in the morning. Now I love a good rummage around TK's as much as anyone else but what could people possibly have to get from there so desperately that they queued... I came home and planted out about 30 tomato seedlings, they're still upstairs on the windowsill and I have informed the furry things that if they knock them off they'll be eating cheap biscuits for a week, we'll see.
Grateful today for the sun being out, for (very) well risen sourdough currently in the oven and for nearly a week off still before return to mayhem.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Sorry usual absence over the weekend.Saturday lovely sunny day out with grandkids and a NSD in the bag. Sand dune walk and found a lizard.Sunday - felt very low so stayed in, after mad burst of housework, collapsed watching tv. Think I just needed a good rest.Yesterday - small spend on some chicken breasts to use up Fajita stuff at home, and enough for my lunch today in work.Electrican turned up last night and I now have a posh light up mirror in my bathroom. It took longer than expected to fit, 2 hours helped him lift it up and down off the wall. Nothing ever runs to plan I find. Looks gorgeous just makes me more aware of my lockdown extra pounds eek.Grateful forB Gas refunding me cash paid out to an engineer as they couldn't get to my call out within 5 days.Hopefully a quiet evening, didn't have a great nights sleep last night. Early night planned.Nice to see market on here today and more people on the beach.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/225
