@ldee2111 I agree if it doesent work, it doesent work, and it's too early, no reason for damp sheets. My eldest was very late and had lots of accidents up until when ever, and I think if you have tried a couple of nights and it doesent work, then give it an other few months or an other excuse and then try again. Some kids sleep very lightly and others very deeply.
@thrifty_fifty I didn't realise you were in Orkney, how exciting. And manly very good news about your hubby.
I am just on here to state the fact that I am frustrated with online teaching I still do it 50% and I have just about had enough!
Grateful for sunshine and I tempted myself in a large outdoor shop looking at various items, but I walked back out empty handed so am still on NSD. Hope it will last. I do need it now.

A beautiful day today. We went for a walk in the park but went the long way round and crisscrossed all the paths so an extra mile or so. It was quite busy with walkers both human and canine and children in the playground but everybody being sensible so that's increased my confidence in going out a little. Felt a lot better for being in the fresh air.
Had a chat with a lady who lives in the next block. She's been ill and I can't believe how much she's aged since I last saw her. She's only been out twice since June last year. Her friend who was a very vibrant and active lady has also not been well and has hardly left her home. I am really grateful that although it's been difficult it hasn't affected me that badly.
I've had a lovely ham salad for lunch and there are meatballs in the slow cooker for dinner.
So glad our restrictions are being relaxed here a little tomorrow and I can extend my walks to some more parks.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -

Oh turtles, today has been a day of funny little calamities. Had some home visits to do this morning but not one of them was home despite everything being arranged beforehand, so I thought OK, I'll go home, on my way I'll drop off my library books, grab a couple of things I need from sainsbury's and get some petrol. Except I forgot my purse... and only realised once I tried to get petrol. Thank goodness hadn't started filling up!
So decided to walk to the library and sainsbury's this evening, checked online and it said it was open until 7, got there at 5.30 and it was closed! I rang my dad as it's his birthday, asked if he got his present, which I ordered ages ago and had delivered to my mum, and he hadn't. She denied all knowledge of receiving it, I checked online and it said it was definitely delivered but because it was so long ago (six weeks) I can't query where it is. So ended up ordering another one as I felt bad and want my dad to have a gift!
On the plus side, the weather has been nice today, work has been good, and the walk to the library helped me get lots of extra steps.7 -
Thrifty- good to hear your DH is making progress.
I can't remember who had the night time nappy problem, but I'm firmly in the "put the nappy back on and try again when its dry most mornings" camp.
Thursday- NSD 9!
Been at work all day, no news to report.
Grateful for sunshine, tiny seedlings on the windowsill pots, and long light evenings.8 -
Took mum for her second jab today. Toddled to the shed earlier and bagged up 3 bags for the charity shop (will be at least one more bag of books and going to halve the number of jigsaws in my room (originally bought for mum - she thinks this room has elastic walls).
Not confident about walking round town yet so will work on sorting jigsaws and remaining bits and hope to go next week.
Seed trays and tops sorted (all in one pile), painting stuff all in one bag (one roller still beyond my reach), binned two stiff paintbrushes and a ripped potato bag, seeds gathered in one place, another bag sorted indoors.
Grateful for all the lovely medical staff and volunteers at the vaccination centre, having a mostly restful day (much needed, although I managed to stand without pain whilst brushing my teeth and added a couple of grooming extras after my shower), seeing a butterfly in the yard this morning. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -

Morning Turtles,
Such a busy day at work yesterday, well it felt busy, but didn't actually do that much. Went out for a walk, and found myself at Sainsbugs buying a bottle of wine, and drank all of it. Oh dear. Nothing much else happened apart from lovely call with DD. I am going to see her tomorrow. ❤️

Last proper day of the holidays here and I can't claim to have achieved much. Just pottering about today doing washing and a few plant jobs before returning to the madness on Monday.
Glad to hear other half is making progress @Thrifty_Taylor
