666666 said:My broker came back with the following:We are still awaiting the lender signing off the EWS1 Form and covering letter, which was sent over at the beginning of this week.In all honesty, we likely won't have the offer until early next week in the best case scenario purely due to the service levels for assessments of EWS1 forms taking so long, but I will chase this today and tomorrow as well just to be sure.
So they are saying best case scenario is next week. That would be 4 weeks after my application. This is taking forever! 😡1 -
The timings, although long, aren't bad considering it's a leasehold flat with EWS1 certificate. I get your frustration though. I felt like I had stopped functioning waiting for my offer - I just want to complete on my purchase, and then have a blissful life.... renovating a probate property! (I don't make my life easy for myself I know).1

@666666 Oh no, but hopefully you are almost there. Stay positive!! At least you are getting updates (albeit not the positive ones you were hoping for)!1

Thank you all for the positive encouragement! @propertyhunter how exciting! Renovating comes with its own satisfaction and rewards even though it's hard.0

Just heard that our documents are approved, subject to valuation, which is happening today! Don't want to get my hopes up too high though3

@popsicle95 I so feel your pain... the wait is crippling... but you have an add on baby on the way stress which must be so much harder to deal with ... fingers crossed for you! Weekend waits are the worst1

I’ve just had an update from my MB and have said that HSBC have done the valuation and that is all agreed and fine but still expect to take another 5 working days for the underwriters to assess me. Really pleased I’ve had an update but I wasn’t expecting them to do the valuation before the offer. Hoping that Experian make the amendment to my credit report as soon as possible now because if Nationwide declined for that reason, I don’t see why HSBC would be any different. Just trusting my MB’s advice…0

If we were playing top trumps, @popsicle95 you win!
This year is going to be an amazing adventure for you.
I had to make an amendment to my Equifax report (notice of correction removal) and actually, the bank didn't care and offered before the change was made. Hopefully your change is a minor and inconsequential one too.0
