    Afternoon everyone

Well exoh has not turned up to pick up dd and is an hour late  so I'm copping it from her
He called and said he was so upset lst night about her not wanting to go to his mum's with him that he feels like not bothering - well I'm sure that will help matters no end.
Penpin - what a great gesture from our friends - that's fantastic
    sorry about your troubles pipkin
    bummer about the money taplady
big hugs to anyone who's lipped my mind.

Well it looks like I may have dd for the weekend with or without her dad as they are suppposed to be going to dd22's tonight but they won't have space ot put them up and he has no car at the moment. nothing in the house as I tend to graze, fix snacks or have a meatfest for myself at daddy weekends so he will have to provide tea for all. Had half planned to go to the footie as well this afternoon but dd11 won't want to go. I am not a spontaneous sort of person so when my plans change it really puts me out of sorts. dd18 has called to say she has the worst hangover in the world - don't know how how she can say that as it's her first. She is supposed to be picking up her son from her friend's this afternoon and coming over here but i'm not sure that she'll make it

Anyhoo OS wise the WM is on, meal plan for next week written and I have started tackling dd11's room.
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Afternoon all,

Slightly late start today as OH suddenly decided at half 1 last night that that would be a good time to do our weekly shop - it was really nice to do it with no crowds etc, but I was tired!!!

So far today I have had a shower and done the washing up.
    Still to do :
    - Broccolli and cheddar soup
    - Mince pies
    - Sweep/mop kitchen
    - Clean bathroom
    - Finish sorting out the living room
    - Ironing
    - Change bed

Dinner is sausage and bean hotpot. have a good one

    Hi Everyone

Well, this is a busy time of year so many of us MIA I think. I am sure they will speed read (as I have just done) and try to keep up with everything.

PennyP - what a fantastic bunch of friends you have. It sounds like a fantastic night and just hope you can cope with the tiredness after a late night.

Twink - are you OK? - you seem to be MIA. Just heard it is snowing in Inverness and Aberdeen (Hibs are being beat by CT!). Kyle - hope you OK.

Aussie - I am glad you got the link to my boys' picture. I have pm'd you and best wishes for DH on Monday.

Pipkin - that was quite a heavy post. Do you need to talk to any of us personally?

We had magical times at Christmas when our children were young. Quite a few years of the old consumer Christmas after that (once they don't believe in Santa not the same) and back now to the magical Christmas for our DGSs. You should see the letter I have done to send to the 3 of them from Santa! I think once the boys get older I will still feel Christmas magic (my birthday on Christmas day and I totally hate it) but I can relate to all the children who are so excited about it all.

Sorry, not mentioned anyone else but have had a quick read.

Off out tonight for our posh dinner for our anniversary. Friends coming through from Glasgow and they will probably go through snow at some point. Rather wet here but because we are sea level get away with the snow mostly.

Managed to catch up with the washing and ironing this afternoon, after getting my hair (colour patch up for the grey) this morning. Gave my neighbours flowers and wine for the sofa bed as way of thanks.

    Love to all GB xxxxxxxxxx

    Hello everyone!

Been MIA for quite a while - things have been manic! Thankfully OS has seen me through in style - had my parents over for a week for my PhD graduation and they were seen through in style with plenty of home cooked suppers and crumbles! The Xmas pud (thanks all OSers!) is on for its boil and a nice HM pizza scheduled for tonight.

Wet and miserable here today as well - I was out for a ride with my Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists observer this morning and we got very wet and cold indeed! Straight home and into a piping hot bath - been sat at home since with the laptop and a hot water bottle.

    Enjoy your evening everyone!

    Hi everyone

Successful day, all units out of side bedroom, wallpaper stripped off, and carpet up and on free-cycle. Just going to add the units (mahogany vendeer cathedral style) kitchenunits, which made a good study with base units fitted without plinth. Mahogany out of fashion now so don't know whether any interest or not. Such a waste otherwise as in good condtion. Garage is a shambles with all bits in.

Tea shortly salad (spanish style) and jacket spuds. Friend on WW diet and we all enjoy salad. SCD later followed probably by card game/s.

    Enjoy your evening all.

It has been raining and dark all day here but dragged myself out as DH gave us a lift to Lidl and got a lot of shopping in.

Nearly out of eggs as DD (with brace) likes "strangled eggs" as they are soft to eat. Hardly any ingredients in fridge for DDs packup for work either.

Waiting for DD(13) to get back from shopping in York with her friends and made fish with saute potatoes and fresh baked baguette as we were all hungry.

Took ages to unpack all the shopping and it is scary how quickly it disappears.

Glad you enjoyed your evening out and you really deserve a treat!

    Pipkin

Sorry your mum is finding things so hard but hope someone can convince her to go to the doctor. Maybe suggest she is a bit "run down" and could do with a check up?

Have decided to stay on here witha pot of tea beside me and get warmed up.

Have we heard from Hester or has the lodger hogged the computer again?
