    Good morning everyone,

PP - so glad you had a lovely time, what lovely friends you have xx

Aussie, Haribo and Shez - Thank you :A

Taplady - hope DS is feeling better today, and you and Mr T have gotton over the shock ((HUGS))

Dlb - glad you have sold the car - do you have football this weekend? Ours has been cancelled again (shame:rolleyes: ) but the weather really is bad!!

pipkin - ((HUGS)) to you and your mum xxx

((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one xxx

Well, my mum is due here in an hour or so, and so far i have done nothing but load the WM and strip my bed, so after typing this, im going to nip up for a shower and get dressed. We dont have anything planned for the weekend, although i expect my mum will want to go down to the charity shops in town - havnt decided if i want to go yet, although i could do with a new coat, so might be a good time to have a shifty around and see if there is anything suitable.

After DDs disappointment at the non visit of the tooth fairy, i raided DSs money box and borrowed a pound - so far DD still hasnt checked under her pillow, so obviously not as disappointed as i thought!!! Will repay DS next week when i have some money.

Looking forward to the semi finals of SCD and XF tonight - such an exciting life i lead!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good morning all!

My head's spinning and I've not touched a drop! I read the end of yesterday's thread, then today's and I don't know if I'm coming or going:rotfl: :rotfl: :D

I'm with you Aussie, I'm getting me some new friends. Stamps foot!!! PP you certainly have cornered the market in the generous ones, it's not fair:D Glad you had such a wonderful time, mind you I'd never be able to afford to reciprocate, so maybe it's just as well my friends are poor:o

Hoping the taplady family are feeling better today ((((hugs))))

Thanks for Birthday wishes for DS yesterday. Not sure that over 21 and 6' 4" he qualifies for *master*:rotfl:

I've got a really busy day today. In a moment I'll be phoning my Dad. ((((((hugs)))) Pipkin, cos I shall get the same from him, and I know how hard and wearing and upsetting it is. And now my SIL has started too!

Then it's round to Church to prepare the Christingles for tomorrow's service. Back, grab a coffee, and off to help my nieces at their gym-club competition. I'm only doing teas, coffees etc nothing technical;) DH will be handling raffle ticket sales and scorekeeping. You should have seen him blanch when he thought they wanted him to judge:rotfl:

Well done on your bargains Pink!! Of course I'm not jealous:p That spa set looks really good, bet they won't have any left by the time I get there.

Well I really must love you and leave you, hope to get back this evening to catch up with the news.

(((((hugs))))))) to Snowy, because I think you may have a sore head, and if you haven't I'd like to know how you got away without one:rotfl:

    Bye for now' CM xx

  • Morning all

MRS F glad you're feeling better

PIPKIN I don't know how old your Mum is but depression is frequently undiagnosed in older people. Would she go to her GP?

Hugs to all who need them and sleep to those who need it to. One thing they never tell you when you become a parent is that you'll never sleep soundly again.

We are very exited today despite all being snotty as we are off to Lapland at the crack of dawn on Sunday to see Santa:santa2: . Going for three days and will post you when we get back.:A xxxx

    Hi jannyannie.

    Mom's in her 50s.

She has been showing signs of depression for a long time now, and both dad and myself have tried to get her to go to the doctors but she just wont go. She lashes out at dad an awful lot and can snap for no reason, but then says it's not her fault, it's dad's.

Hearing her last night though was hard, although it's probably a good thing that she did talk about it. Mom feels she has nothing worth staying alive for which is really upsetting. Talking about it now is making me cry, but that will upset my girls if they see me.

Not sure what to do for the best tbh. i wanted to say to her - well, what about us? But is that me being selfish?

Sorry for talking about this here.

    Pipkin xxxx

Yes, I've got the Now Christmas CD on, I decided I should actually BUY it instead of downloading it :D

We didn't have time to get the decs down from the loft yesterday  We were out most of the day. Found a fantastic butcher in Cam, we'll be using him from now on. Mr tru said 'will you look at the size of these pork chops, one of those with some potatoes and veg from the garden will make a HUGE meal and it works out really cheap'. I said 'excellent, now apply that way of thinking to everything and we'll be on the same wavelength' :rotfl:

I ordered 2 Christmas presents for him to give to me :D He'd buy the wrong books if I left it to him, he wants to know what they are, I said he'll find out when they're delivered - one of us has got to have a surprise :D

Just one load of washing to do today, and I have to clean out the rabbit and pigs. Oh and hoover too, we went to the saw mill and bought 3 sacks of sawdust for £1.50, I haven't put them in the shed yet. Squeak (male pig) was running round the kitchen earlier and chewed through 2 of the sacks, there's sawdust everywhere

    Morning

Just been catching up - Taplady Sorry to hear DS has had another accidentI hope are both ok - I bet your getting him a bus pass for christmas this year. Pipkin -sorry to hear your mum is so down - christmas does have this effect on a lot of people. N9eav daily mail for me too today then I love all the scrooge films:o

Had a mad busy week this week with work getting in the way of all my christmas shopping plans:D Went to Cardiff on Thursday and drove back last night and it took 6 hours:eek:  I must have passed 5 seperate accidents - none that serious just shunts but each one meaning a massive tail back behind:mad: perhaps if people left a bit more than the width of a hair between themselves and the next car we would all get home a bit quicker - sorry rant over:o Anyway it was worth it really as I have picked up a nice piece of work for next year and I love Cardiff so dont mind having to visit lots.

Really looking forward to today - Im taking mum and dad to the Manchester arena tonight to see the Classical Spectacular - its a fab night we went last year a bit like last night of the proms but with indoor fireworks:j We have booked an apartment close to the arena so we can have a few scoops and we are going into Manchester early to have a lunch/dinner at our favourite cheese and pate joint:D Its a real bargain they give you a whole loaf of bread and a choice of cheese and pates with salad and pickles and then they give you enough to serve a family of 6:rotfl: (I get 2 cheeses and they last me for the week following too:D )

Right best get packed and the house tidied ready for the imminant parental arrival!!

    Have a great day all

jannyannie have a great time in lapland.

Pipkin, hugs to your mum, perhaps a visit would chear her up xx

Kathy, OH and I have exciting evenings in too, last night i was in bed by 10, after a glass of wine could not handle any more :rotfl:

PP, so glad you had a good evening, how lucky to have such nice friends xx

toria27 welcome :j you will love it here, hope you get the tyre sorted xx

Well its pouring here too, got one load of washing in (OH work clothes) so will dry on the rads.
DD is supposed to be going into town with her mates but don't know if they are still going due to the weather, if not she will go out with her dad.

OH and I were going walking, might just go for a quick one.

We have been collecting change since the begining of the year, to pay for chirstmas treats, so might cash it in today, there should be quite a bit in there, its mostly from OH pockets, I have emptied his work trousers this morning, and as well as nails and screws there was £10 in loose change ;) I see it as my perk for doing the washing :D

well have good days all, will pop back later xx

Welcome Toria :hello: Glad you found the right thread. :D
Enjoy your busy day Churchie. By the way I consider myself to be your friend and you are correct in thinking I wouldn't be as generous as Penny Pincher's friends. :p Perhaps when it's your 50th anniversary. :D (so not long to go then) :p;)
PennyPincher...Like I said when you posted on the other thread, what a great night you had. That works out as nearly £70 a head. Wow! Excuse my nosiness :o but what did you have to eat?
    Pen Pen....Hope you're ok.

I'm having a lazy day so far. Just me and Dtwin2 and Cbbc. :o
I really miss the other one but boy is it quiet without the rows.
Plans today are baking, baking and preserve making. So I'm off to gather some recipes and make a shopping list.

    Have a great day all.

    Haribo x

PS...Forgot to say. I changed our Gas and Electric supplier in the summer and we replace the gas fire with an open one which is free to run. I also have been cracking down on people switching off lights and doing lots of things to keep the heat in and our bill yesterday came in to tell us we are £231 in CREDIT  :j :D . So It's definitely worth making all the little changes. ;)
