As above one big benefit of the in contract price increase is the route to cheaper prices .
The newer built in contract increases of cpi+ a%  leave no room to negotiate as you agree the price rise before taking out the contract .

Talk Talk has always used sharp practise its nothing new at all I believe its standard practise .

Unless you can play them at ones own game and can be bothered to do so then thats fine otherwise you can expect underhand behaviour.

Im not so sure they are the cheapest either ....again you need to put in time and effort finding a deal .
I think this is where people fall down as its time consuming doing so

They are almost impossible to beat on price. Try getting this lot included with your fibre broadband for less than £24 per month. Those add ons, which are incredibly useful, cost an arm and a leg with most providers.

No they're not included as standard, talktalk even state prices for calling features on their website here https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/How-much-do-calling-features-cost/ta-p/2204858

That was my point though. Everything’s negotiable with TalkTalk, and I’ve got all that included, with line rental of course, for £23.99.

It would be negotiable at renewal time, a new customer switching won't get it hence they may not be the cheapest in that situation

But a new customer switching would not be part of the TT Price Hike as post one .

I’ve used and negotiated with most of them over the years, right back to the days of Claranet, Ezesurf and Demon, but none of them ever come near the deals you can strike with TalkTalk on renewal.

I managed to get it all for £20 on a 2 year contract. I didn’t even have to haggle with them that was their 1st offer. My old contract still had 3 month to go at the time.

I have to agree with Doc_N, if you don`t ask you don`t get.

I`ve been with TT for years and every time my contract`s up for renewal I`ve never yet found a better deal anywhere else.
I always used webchat, that way you have a copy of what was said and agreed.

TT have got away with it again with this latest £2 hike.

A small minority negotiated a new, cheaper better deal but most people just coughed up and didn`t bother.
