18 degrees and bright sunshine now over here in Le Shire. Due for 22 tomorrow. My washing machine is going to hate me. But the bedding will smell lovely! Not exactly a fun and exciting rollercoaster ride of thrills and spills, but it is practical and sensible (god I hate being a grown up) and MSE.

Today is NSD 11/17. Sunday should have been a NSD but I bought two books for DS’s birthday albeit budgeted for.
I bought a digital travel guide last week to plan a holiday for next year. But after a scan read, it wasn’t what I needed. Requested a refund from the rainforest retailer and pleased to say I got it. £6 saved.
Any other turtles planning holidays abroad?
Grateful for DS and OH, the BBC’s relaxing evening radio programme for wee ones, my helpful neighbour who fixed our garden gate.

Evening all
We had absolutely stunning weather today and my back decided to be totally pain free today so I went for 2 walks. Also did some pilates this morning. Managed a few jobs around the house too in between work. Off to a good start this week.
Had a spare £65 left after everything was paid for this month, put £45 in savings for some tracksuit bottoms I need after catching the last pair on barbed wire, and £20 paid off my car debt.
Had a really productive day at work too, managed to write a court report and update some other outstanding bits too. Have to appreciate the good days when they happen as they're few and far between at the moment lol.
Grateful for beautiful sunshine, a pain-free day (also few and far between lol) and generally feeling in a good mood.5 -
Hi all,
been a spendy day as did a big food shop. Had a good day at work. Dried 2 loads of washing on the line. Had my online qualification group which was really helpful; we've now been through the whole portfolio and are going back to the beginning..... I have to submit mine by mid May though. I'm on leave now till next TuesdayWill be spending half the time on my studies and the rest of the time in doing nice things for myself
Gratitudes - glorious sunshine; DD2 being generally lovely; putting my out of office on

Today I am grateful for my final day in the building this term, for dd coping with school, for dh prepping tea so all I had to do was the easy stuff, for the sunshine, for coinciding with dd for the last 100m of the journey home and then finding dh watching a cbeebies prog about motorbikes!

Monday- still on NSD 19. Topped up on milk, bread and bunny veg. Nothing unplanned bought, so it's fine.
Am ridiculously tired, so going to let the dog out in a minute then get to bed early.
Today's list has been carried forward to tomorrow 🙈. It will all get done eventually, but 2 tasks MUST get done before the end of the month, so they are priority tasks at the tip of the list.
Grateful today for the sun shining, some free range eggs from a friend and in about 15 minutes I will be very grateful for my bed!5 -

Hello
I am sorry I have dropped off the radar this month. Mum has been quite ill and I was flat out at work. The stress of managing doctors' appointments, collecting meds, glasses and whatever else all got a bit much. Money has gone semi out of the window. I am now on holiday for two weeks so trying to get things together. Hope all is well with the turtles. I shall go back and read now XXXNevertheless she persisted.9 -
Visitors this morning, mummy of twins and daughter no 2 (2 eldest are off, twins still at school, eldest had been left minding the daft dog). Fixed smoke alarm (mummy of twins will ask the fire brigade to come and fit a new one - can't just replace the battery), an attempt at fixing the burglar alarm (we have lights and so far it hasn't gone off again - probably waiting until tonight). That will need fixing properly (an electrician) as it is definitely faulty but mum wants it taking out - it serves no purpose.
Pill lady came. When I ordered mine last week, I asked if it was possible to send it on Tuesday with mum's. Not possible - they would only send it to the doctor's on Friday morning, get it back Monday and wouldn't be able to fill it by Tuesday. Well it was ready today. Luckily pill lady had the gumption to ask for mum's as well when they gave her mine.
Checked the council website and bin goes out tonight instead of tomorrow, so did that, then messaged DS3 to tell him to put his out. He didn't understand why the bank holidays would make a difference to the collection dates so explained that some years ago the people who had Monday collections complained that they were every time there was a bank holiday. Council worked out a new deal which sometimes mean the binmen have to work Saturday as well but everyone gets their bin collected between one day early and one day late (as Friday and Monday are both bank holidays). Told mum when I had put the bin out - several hours later she came to tell me I had put the bin out and it was only Monday.
Washing line dried, food delivery came, no money spent (delivery was paid last night when the order was placed), all food from stuff I prepared yesterday, pleasant chat with mum's friend (someone appreciates me), mummy of twins pulled the weeds in the front 'garden' (a whole handful).
Grateful for down time, good books, cleaned my laptop screen (wipes arrived in yesterday's parcel). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6
