NST March 2021: a turtle rollercoaster

Tesco delivery today. One or two rather strange substitutions but it's fine because I can use them. A bit over budget but it did include the children's Easter eggs and quite a few things for the Boy. He always offers to pay but I always say no because he pays me back in kind. Lifts and sorting out my technical problems, etc. And he'll need next to nothing for the next month at least.
Got a kind of a meal plan in mind. And I promised to make a curry for the Boy's best friend to take home. Lovely boy but his diet is appalling. Lives on frozen pizzas and him a nurse!!. Anyway, he's had both vaccinations so he can come and pick them up when I've made them. Masks and social distancing adhered to, of course. I have to confess I'm getting just a bit confused about the rules now lockdown is being relaxed. Different here in Scotland to other parts of the UK and, honestly, some of it is a bit ambiguous and open to interpretation. Stay local they say. I live on the border between two local authorities (about 100 yards from the border) but apparently we still have to stay within our own. I know that people are already not sticking to that one and quite a number of others as well. I'm just trying to use my common sense.
Very wet and windy here so no walking, I'm afraid.

Afternoon, hope everyone is ok after one less hour of sleep ! I acheived a NSD today taking me to #13.
Yesterday was a spendy day as DD2 and i walked to town and back and had a coffee and did a small shop. We covered about 12k steps but with extra effort as we had 2 bags of shopping to carry home including 2 tins and 3 jars and a huge bar of that triangle shaped chocolate. I have managed to dry washing on the line both days. Made a big pan of lentil and red pepper soup & put some in the freezer and 2 portions in the fridge. DD1 dropped off some marmite and cheese flavour hot X buns which are yummy!
gratitudes - nice memories of sister via Fb; DD2 who has been making lots of meals; YS pastries for breakfast today

Deni- I pictured a huge green triangle from the r0ses selection before realising that you meant t0bler0ne!!Somehow, I am on nsd #22- any more than that is probably going to be a new high score for me!Still riding the March rollercoaster, but am looking forward to April's daisies.Today I am grateful for a quiet day, for prepping tubs of fruit + veg for several days, for just 1 more day in school, for repeated negative covid tests, for having a couple of good books on the go.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Many many trips to bin and recycling. Two bags of potatoes used up, baby ones parboiled and divided between 3 bags (will go in freezer), larger ones all boiled and mashed (2 portions but some left from meal so may do more), all sprouty bits cut off and put in trays for growing. Made a chicken dinner (evening meal) and many nearly extinct veg were used in beef curry, cauli/ broccoli cheese and a pasta bake. Food order came whilst I was cooking (eyes watering from chopping onions) so asked him to put it on top of the bins (much easier for me to lift them down from the bins than up from the floor), set my dishes simmering then brought stuff inside keeping an eye on the cooking.
One delivery of miscellaneous stuff arrived this morning (still waiting for the rat repeller) and one of my books had been put in the post box. May have another due before 9 pm. Lots of small areas like window bottoms wiped along the way. Watched first 3 episodes of a Netflix series - very good. Have two book series on the go and book which was in the post box is the latest in one of my favourite series (2nd and 3 rd in another series due this week). Still need to do another food order (have a much better idea of what is there and have used all the older bits plus odd scraps) and possibly a W order - didn't get there yesterday and they have the tubs I bought last year available for delivery again (they were delivering them for the early part of lockdown but switched to 'in store only' towards the end of summer. I was considering buying a multi pack of builders buckets (to help with the digging) but think I may as well order the pots as they hold more and if I wanted to grow stuff in the buckets I'd have to drill holes in the bottom.
Grateful for feeling content (noticed several signs that I was physically run down), loved doing the cooking, having wipes to give the laptop a good clean. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
Mothernerd, if you want to put holes in the bottom of plastic tubs, a heated up metal skewer works wonders. Totally painless, and hardly any effort. No danger of cracking either.Speaking of The Swiss Triangle, I bought F-i-L one this week and sent it, as he had been brave and sensible and seen a Dr.How weird is that?4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Sunday- NSD 19.
Working again today, so no time to do anything else. Have abandoned house work and done less steps than I aim for. Tomorrow is another day and I will try to do better. I have a list of things to do, which will be completed next week- I do love a list!

Morning! As payday inches ever closer, yet still seems so far away....... celebrating still being in budget, going to try for NSD 14, I am sat drinking a really lovely cup of coffee while the rest of the house is asleep. the sky is grey, it is quite chilly, so that was the weather, over to apple for the sport ......

Morning Turtles,
Yesterday was spendy, got my iPad back with a £10 discount, and did the last of the food shopping for the month. So it should be NSD's all the way until April now. But my goodness, it wasn't even 3 miles of walking and I was wiped out! So unfit. Needs to be addressed! all of my waistbands are uncomfortable and I just feel tired all the time. So sick of looking at a screen. For meetings and admin. Need to get out.
Yesterday's gratitudes:
- delicious dinner after my loooong walk (lolz)
- Washing on the line
- paid £5 on the snowball focus CC
....off for a walk, shorter but a walk nonetheless.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000
Stocks and shares ISA: £1497
Additional pension contributions £0
Overpayment on mortgage: £0

Awful weather here again. Cold, wet, rainy. So I've started a good old clearout. One big cupboard upstairs done. Well, I say done. What I mean is tidied up. Lots of things earmarked for the bin a bit at a time when Himself isn't looking. Lots of little five minute jobs done too so it's been quite a productive day.
