Today I am grateful for getting stuff done at work, for dd going back to school, for a fantastic parents evening for dd, for sausage and mash for tea, for not crashing or rolling the courtesy car!

I got the job!!!

 I just found out today. I am over the moon. To have a  permanent contract and actually know what I’m being paid every month will be AMAZING and the salary is more than I expected.

For semana santa, looks like we are just chilling at home. We are not allowed to leave Madrid but foreigners can come here Nothing special planned at all. going to relax and will have to buy some clothes as I have nothing suitable for an office environment. 

Hope everyone is well!!! I am so grateful for the new job and I will definitely not be taking it for granted.

Today I am grateful for a lovely comment from a pupil, for getting permission to train from home next weds not in the building, for Dr having another good day, for a supremely fab chat with her GP about 'what it's, for only having 1 more official working day this month.

Congratulations on the job Shrewbie.
I've been missing in action a bit but school has been very full on. I had the vaccine last Saturday, had a few minor side effects on Saturday but woke up on Sunday feeling fine and thought that's it I'm all okay. Tuesday morning I felt like I'd been hit by a truck, run over by a bus and reversed over by a train. Not sure if its the jab or just work from hell at the moment. I'm still feeling really tired.
But I'm grateful that I've had the first dose and am booked in for the second, also that Mrporridge is booked in for this weekend for his first dose.

Had a productive day at work, DD2 treated me to coffee at lunchtime.
Gratitudes - made first mortgage overpayment; DD2 had a good online meeting with her musical theatre group; feeling peaceful relaxing on the sofa with cats next to me

Work all day, so not much to report. 
Grateful for having money "leftover" this month- it's been tidied up to cover a bit of fun in the Easter holidays, for meal-planning continuing to reduce wasted food and that means less wasted money, for 15 minute housework bursts keeping the house more or less tidy 😂

I had a very busy work day yesterday, and it was a NSD -  whoop! first this week with all the laundrette visits.

Gratitudes for yesterday:

- long call with DD
- having food in the fridge.

My news still waiting on gas engineer, hopefully this afternoon. Still not holding out much up of heating this weekend.

Couldn't sleep last night I think it is down to new duvet cover whilst its lovely and soft whether mix of polyester in it? Or was I just overtired or being a Drama Queen. Probably the latter.  Anyway I will try it again tonight as it looks lovely before it makes it to the spare room.  I am moaning again noooooooooo

Grateful for

So Windy yesterday 4 wash loads dried on the line.

Electrican booked few weeks time, so do my light up mirror in bathroom.

Few days booked off work next week, now have gkids but we can now travel in Wales, just hope loos are open!

Ventured out today in the cold for the first time in ages to go to the local fruit shop. Half way there Himself discovered he had forgotten to pick up his bag which contained my purse so he had to pay. Technically a NSD for me but I should really pay him back so I'll not claim one. Freezing cold and soaked through by the time we got back but at least we kept on going. I was out for all of five minutes before I started wheezing and getting out of breath. I am so dreadfully unfit. I really am going to have to seriously address this ongoing weight problem and stop making excuses for not getting some exercise. Part of next month's challenge I think, Dr Carrie.
