We celebrated over the weekend by clearing the attic out ready to move!
not much else to report over the weekend, no spending outside of budgeted money, sorted out the kids Easter eggs/present - £25 each.
I’ve been doing an increasing amount of boredom eating while staring at the screen working, reset today and went out on the bike for half an hour after lunch. Can’t wait for the gym to reopen, they should never have been closed IMO!Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

We have no attic to clear out but we have also started to sort through stuff in anticipation of the move. I think we’re going to try and do some moving prep each weekend to keep move motivated while waiting for a date!Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

Mid-week update, all quiet!
Had the survey done on the place we’re buying and a buy to let survey on our house today.
spending - £0 since the weekend all set for Easter, just a day to push with work tomorrow then a four day weekend!
work news I’ve moved to a four day week, company wide opt- in/out decision today. You do the same hours as normal but compressed into four days. I voiced concerns that it would be four quite long days, but you can top up the hours on the Friday if you need to so might as well go for it.Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

I really enjoyed working 4 long days. I had Wednesdays off though so I never worked more than 2 days in a row which felt like a win for me.Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £5678 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3188/£6000 | Travel savings £1924 | Sinking pots £21260

That would be nice, Fridays are the only option. Cynic in me thinks that it will now be a guaranteed slot in everyone’s diary to fill up with ‘one off’ meetings!Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

A happy Easter to all!
Quiet day planned with the kids. Easter egg hunt for them when they woke up, got one of those £5 boxes from Mr T. Lego set for daughter, transformer for son, total Easter spend £50.Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

Midweek update - all quiet!
I’ve got next week off work so got a few things lined up - clearing out the garage, lunch out on Wednesday (money set aside from pocket money) and meeting family for an afternoon.
Asked the solicitors for an update, they’re waiting for contract papers from the vendors solicitors. More importantly we don’t need to give them any more paperwork or money at the moment!Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

Aside from clearing out the garage and a lunch out, your update reflects my current status exactly...
It seems like there was a flurry of activity with the house move and then you can actually hear the tumbleweeds at the moment! I chased our solicitor yesterday and we are the same, awaiting contract from vendor solicitor.
I don't envy you clearing out the garage (because...spiders) and I'm staying firmly indoors whilst my hubby clears the sheds (because...spiders *shudders*)
Hope you have a lovely week off work and it's not too spendy
