@Bizzywizard Thanks for the input, we've already actioned some of your suggestions. Regarding the overdraft, in the months leading up to coming clean I'd managed to come out and stay out of my overdraft, it's been about six months since I've been it.
Quiet weekend, spent Saturday pressure washing the patio and drive. Spend £6 (!) on parking yesterday to take the kids for a walk on the beach. Kids have just gone to school this morning, the house is spookily quiet!Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

@beanielou - Thanks, things are going well at the moment.
Things are very busy at work at the moment so its just as well that the kids have gone back to school! Nothing much to report finances wise, spending has remained on budget. I've got a £17 pay out from Prolific on the way to PayPal.Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

Big update alert!!
It's all been going on here over the last week.
We've been keeping in contact with our mortgage advisor to see when we could move - as we're looking to move to a cheaper area. With the stamp duty news we decided to put the house on the market and see what happens, we very quickly had 12 (!) viewings booked in and after the first viewing received an offer 4k over the asking price!
Next piece of news, my Nan passed away over christmas at the age of 94 and my parents are currently selling 'her' house. I say 'her' as it was transferred to my Dad and his brothers when my grandad passed away. They are giving a share of the proceeds to me and my brother and sister, in light of our desire to move they are giving us our share now! Just payed of the CCs!
Me and OH have had a discussion and we fully intend to carry on as we have been since January. We're using the surplus after paying the CCs as a house moving fund and will continue saving into that pop until we move, after that we'll attack the loans (they'll still be getting the regular monthly payments).
Just off to update the signature!Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0

This is amazing news! I'm so pleased for you and I bet you are relieved that things have taken a positive turn. Although it's sad that you lost your nan, it's given you a freedom from some of your debts. One huge positive from your journey is that you and your OH can now plan/discuss openly about your financial situation and that in itself is a game-changer.
Hope you keep this diary on and share your house moving journey, we sold ours on the first day it was listed to the first couple to viewthe house market is crazy... The conveyancing hasn't kept up with the speed though haha!

Our place was on the market for less than 48 hours, we have an offer in for a place we saw yesterday so fingers crossed with that, we've got viewings booked on other places on Friday if that one doesn't come off.

End of week update, had an offer accepted on a house! Viewed two on Monday, offered on one but outbid by someone else. Viewed five today and had an offer accepted on our favourite! Will give us room for homeworking and a good size bedroom each for the kids, well within our budget range.Crazy to think we’d only just had our place valued two weeks ago!Credit Card 1 £9602.23 £0
