Hi guys,
I have received an e-mail reply stating this:
Thank you for your complaint received on 4 August 2021. Unfortunately, we are unable to deal with your complaint for the following reason:Enquiry not a complaint. Please be advised that Judgment was entered by the claimant on 29 July 2021. This is because your defence was not filed after the acknowledgement of service was filed on 27 April 2021. When the claim form is issued to you, you have 14 days to respond to the claim however if y you file an Acknowledgment of Service you can extend the tie to respond to 28 calendar days.
I did all the steps as instructed in the newbies thread. Even done the defence too, all I needed was the Directions Questionnaire which wasn't sent out to me. What do I do now? Give them a call?
Any other solutions?0 -

It is only a few lines, maybe copy and paste it here.
When you filed your Defence by email, did you receive an automatic acknowledgement? Maybe check your spam folder.4 -

Does not show that a defence was logged or that an N180 was posted or any reply from youHow can all these things happen on 27 April ?3

From time to time we have seen this happen.
Did you get the automatic email response when you emailed your Defence?
Did you send your Defence to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk?
So you filed your Defence by email before filing the Acknowledgment of Service.
I wonder if that has caused the issue.

I would suggest that you should follow up that email response - the one that says "enquiry not a complaint" - pointing out that it is indeed a complaint.
Yes, include proof that you send a Defence by email, and point out that their processes have failed to record that fact.
Do you have Proof of Posting from the Post Office for the sending of your Defence by Royal Mail? If so, include a copy of that too.
You might also want to complain similarly to the CCBC - using CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk email address.4 -

Thank you
just got a reply from them. They’re apparently going to do an investigation on it as to why my email was not seen by them. I hope it goes well, they really cannot say anything as I have provided proof that everything was sent on time.
thanks1
