Hello all. Really impressive flying going on but not here. Work has been busy and I need to tear myself away from procrastinating and do prep for a council meeting tonight. Wasn't helped by a headache yesterday but today I've had a lovely socially distanced walk with a friend and the dogs.Spend less now, work less later.9

Hi all
Thanks for the encouragement with the CC, I have to say this site has been a massive help in changing my thinking. DS came home with some offcuts of wood, they have had the joiner it at work and DS told him to throw any scraps of wood in the boot of his car to go in our fire, bless him. My very ambitious plan is to be completely debt and mortgage free in 3 years, well I can dream.
Good day at the paid stuff, but have not been out of the house today. Leftovers out of the freezer for tea. Have done a bit of flying and put clean washing away. Tired now.11 -

1lb 3oz ripe bananas, peeled
6 ox soft brown sugar
2eggs
4 oz sultanas
8 ox Sr flour
Mash bananas
add 2 beaten eggs, sugar, sultanas and mix (sugar dissolves)
add flour, mix, turn into 2lb loaf tin (lined)
bake 1-and a half to 1 and three quarter hours at 180 deg; I have a fan oven so bake at 170 deg
Mate coming round tomorrow to collect banana loaf and bring jump leads as the Vallimobile won't start and has all the signs of a dead battery. I bet there's been a fair few of them with lockdown.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

ASB.. I was just going to ask the same! School gave us a million tiny gross bananas on Friday so I need to bake them! FAST!Valli.. TY for recipe, we are leaving out the dead flies though
... our car battery has died on us a few times. Our jump leads aren't chunky enough to be any use for our bus so we do need to invest in some monster ones.. and we had to be jumped off with a transit van the last few times.. my mothers monster truck couldn't do it..
I have 3 empty boxes so am going to restore Clawbs stuff in those so they will fit nicely in the cupboard under the stairs so I can access the electric meter .. and there aren't binbags spewing out of the cupboard.. I have a feeling we will be keeping said items for at least another 2 - 3 years!today I got a load of washing done, 1 dried and the DW was on twice.. other than that I did nothing at all.. The kitchen is looking a bit clearer.. OH only loads the DW once a day.. I did it an extra 3 times so I have some clear work surfaces.. I had my bi-monthly tantrum about empty squash bottles so they all were moved.. I need it to be a bit sunshiny I think so I feel inspired to do a major flinging session.2 things listed on ebeast, 32000 gold made on the WoW auction house (if only it was real money) .. discussed what we would spend £178 million on.. a house for DD1, some land for us and a single storey 5 bed bungalow .. with a huge indoor w@cky w@rehouse type thing for the smalls and an outdoor play area.. with shallow paddling pool for decent weather, though we have water terrors so it would probably be filled with balls, a goat or 3.. and staff.. I would have staff!! Oh.. and a huuuuuuuge area for the cats to play in.. all fenced in.. and computers better than NASA. The boys could have a shared house and I'd possibly buy a small cul-de-sac .. or have one built, for the offsprung.. it would be like a commune! haha.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
Morning, I am so impressed by all of you and you have inspired me. My downstairs WILL be clean and tidy by the end of the day and a decent meal will be provided. I'm not working today, OH had an early start so I'm up too, dressed in grubby clothes so ready to tackle the dirty jobs such as cleaning the pellet stoves and cats' trays. New fridge freezer coming this morning so that will make my kitchen instantly better as it currently has old fridge in the middle of the room and loads of stuff that is usually in the fridge on the sides. Meal is nearly sorted, fish pie using the fish that came out of the freezer.
Right SMILE on, going to put kettle on while I clean the first pellet stove.
Hugs to all, let's get going xx10 -
I've just finished an hour.
Bed made, clothes picked up, windows have been open for an hour too, closed now
Both pellet stoves cleaned
Recycling bin brought in
Recycling out
DW on
All remaining dirty pots WUALTD
Kitchen surfaces wiped down
Now having 15 minutes with coffee whilst hand cream soaks in then going to clear the dining room table and dust dining room, won't do floors until the fridge has been delivered and installed later this morning
See you later9 -
For what's worth I do a version for a colleague. Caster sugar instead of brown and a pack of milk choc drops (like you use in cookies, I get them from Lidl because they're cheaper). I'm not keen but she loves it! It was Piggers comment which jogged my memory.
