Dogs are walked, dailies are done although there is more washing up to do now. I've printed off a quiz for tomorrow night and spent 30 minutes tidying the garden. I stopped when my back began to ache.Spend less now, work less later.10

Dog not walked here - she took one look at the rain and the wind and shot back in first thing this morning. I made her go back outside to do what was necessary and she's now snoring on the bed. Her coat's beautiful but useless at keeping her warm in grim weather and Belovéd says he'll walk her this evening so I'm having a morning off.40 more photographs decluttered from another album. It would have been 41 but I found, 'Abydos? Dendra? Karnak? Clapham Junction?' in Beloved's writing on the back and it made me laugh, so I've kept it. It may not make the second cut but I'll worry about that next time. 437 so far, and very happy with that. I haven't tackled any paperwork yet but I'll do the next file when I've had my shower.Tricky phone call made, follow up email with a suggestion to the person who can decide about what happens next with a guilty sigh of relief on my part. There are things that aren't my responsibility, but still.BLTs without the L scoffed for breakfast with lashings of coffee and I'm about to jump in the shower.Better is good enough.9

So much flying going on this week, I feel a fraud. My goldfish like attention span seems to cope with small jobs, so I have (in no particular order, and certainly to no particular standard):
dusted the DR, vacuumed downstairs
run wm x 1
dropped DD to work. Not sure how she will cope, but she needs to get out of the house and see someone other than me and DH
mopped the kitchen and utility room, shone the bin
vacuumed the stairs after DH decided to attack the plaster on the ceiling
s&s bathroom etc
looked in despair at all the carp that DH has now shifted to the landing from the spare oom.
I would like to get out to the garden this afternoon as I think an hour with some secateurs might be therapeutic. Plus the green bin is due for collection next week and needs to go out to get my money worth. And now it has started drizzling so plan B. Just need to decide what Plan B is....9 -
Bright and sunny here atm, so I have been outside power washing, done one small patio and an area in the middle of the garden where the deck chairs go, both needed doing as it had loads of pheasant poo on them.Small food shop done first thing.Just stopped to eat, and give my legs / back a rest.Chased a pheasant off my apple tree and another one off my bird table roof.It also seems a load of cuttle fish are being washing up on the beach, does anyone want any next time I go down there, for their budgies / birds/ school projects? they will be as found, if so pm me you address and roughly how many you want, no guarantees given as to how many I find or when I find them.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Ah Kaz I wish we still had our aviary and I would have taken you up on the offer. I loved having the birds but it got a pain trying to find someone to look after them if we went on holiday, and they do take up a lot of time.
Been to the optician to collect my new glasses, not sure what they have done but the long distance vision is not right when I wear them. Will be going back on Monday I think. Left the car in the town centre car park and did a 6 mile walk along the river and through the woods, I saw two deer in the woods and really enjoyed myself. DH is at work..
DW and WM on, kitchen tidied. Will go and make lasagne in a bit. I could snooze...

Kaz I will happily take you up on that my chickens would love them x

Paperwork decluttered. 105 bits of the stuff, and eight files taken out of the filing cabinet once and for all. I've never looked at most of it since it went in there so I can't see why I need to keep any of the stuff that's gone but it's taken me years to get to the point where I can let it go. Masses of shredding done, shredder emptied into the compost bin, but most of it went into the recycling bin.Cats and dog weighed, they've all lost weight thank goodness. Cats' claws trimmed (before weighing, so I know it's accurate *snigger*) and dog's ears' done. Lots of chicken given as a reward to all of them so they're now going to be heavier again but never mind - for the moment. One of the cats and Layla are both fascinated by the plastic binder that's gone into the recycling. I don't know what anyone ever needs to buy toys for animals - ours find plenty in our bins.Better is good enough.10
