Afternoon all
Weather has been fab here so I have been mainly in the garden. Redoing a long border, only at the removing everything I don't want in there stage. Did remove some long bits of Couch grass root - always a delight. Iona thanks for the link. I shall be getting my seeds out this evening.
Started listing stuff for free on local Mum's fb page - got rid of a bike which has been in the garage for about 4 years, meerkat soft toys, nightlight - my youngest is 19! Decluttered a windscreen wiper I bought in the wrong size to a neighbour with the right car for it along with a book and locker key from when DS3 abruptly finished school last March.
Chatted to new neighbour out the front, very friendly and to another neighbour I haven't seen in ages.
Valli hope your jab went well, agree this is one of the few things that have gone well.
Shower cleaned, S&S done, downstairs hoovered and 2 x WM
Actually very happy with that. DS2 has pumped my bike tyres up for me so just going to cycle round the block to see if it goes ok, not used in a couple of years and then mog dinner time. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair8 -
Definitely an outside day here today too. Managed a run this morning; what little I've done for the last few weeks has been the same 2 routes as everywhere has been so muddy, so I tried one of my old routes. Er.....muddy! but not too bad, and lovely to see some different scenery.
Got back and wm on.
Watched church service online and joined in Zoom coffee afterwards.
Sorted out some Allium seeds; we had an unexpected Allium turn up growing at the edge of our drive last year - ironic as whenever we have planted the big ones, they haven't done well. Anyway at the end of the season I kept one of the heads in a paper bag to dry out and I managed to gather quite a few seeds. Pruned/weeded some of the pots in the greenhouse which have over-wintered. Threw out old pepper plants, picked the final pepper today. Had a sweep up.
After 4 days of nothing, have had a reply from someone who wanted the stationery items I put on Olio and she is collecting tomorrow, so that is good news. I offered her the 3-tier filing tray too and she said yes, so that is everything cleared from my now redundant shelf unit - which I suppose I will now have to put on Olio or maybe retire to the chiminea as it is pretty old.
Mr N has a Zoom with his mates at 6pm so it is drumming for me, cleaning/bagging up the Olio stuff then sorting some dinner.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
