Honey_Bear said:Ah, Valli, fantasy lottery winnings spending. OH and I decided as soon as it was up and running we'd book ourselves on to a return trip on the Orient Express and figure out what we wanted to do with the rest of our lives if we won. Back then I think he'd have bought a small theatre but now I'm not sure he'd want the hassle.
The 'bad' news is it's only £21.30. So I'll be back at work next week.

Good morning (just!)
I have fired up the laptop to check the lists whilst having a cuppa. I am determined to cross off some items today.
So far I have had a lie in but I did get up soon after I woke & got dressed and had breakfast. Bank accounts and emails have been checked. I have also vac'd the bedroom, landing & stairs. I only had to empty the vac about 3 times doing the bedroom, as opposed to 7/8 last time, so that must be progress!
Todays jobs include WM (towels), mopping various areas (I always put this off!) and hopefully clearing the windowsill in the utility room ready to set up the heated propagator. I hope to gets some seeds started at the weekendI hope to tackle some paperwork (work) and do some shredding. I may start on the photos in March....
Hugs to Dancemum I am really pleased you found the missing rings
Hugs to Fayolle & DD too
Have a good day everyone!9 -
Hugs Dancemum
Narco you have a fab memory, I remember meeting but no idea where it was.
Piggers well done on getting some kids to the dentist.
I've cleaned the toilets and about to put the DW on. Paid stuff day. Then I'll update my list to inspire me later. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair10 -
I have joined the shoulders on the cardigan and measured the band - I'm actually very close!
I have stripped my bed and with the window open it's aired.
DD's bedroom dusted, window cleaned.
Felt a bit odd - very hot - so decluttered 2 (small) ice lollies. And had a sit down.
Litter picked on the front - bin day tomorrow. Sorted solar light by putting the working top part on the unbroken bottom part (why didn't I think ot that before?) - broken bit in bin.
Going to make my bed and dust my room, then dust guest room (not much to actually dust in there, really).
Vacuum's up here ready then I can empty and clean that, too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Tedious day sat in front of the laptop, but on the plus side I didn’t have to actually go into work, and have ticked a couple of jobs off my worklist. Luckily I seem to have managed to do today’s flying list yesterday, as there has been a serious lack of flying today, and I predict that this evening will be the same. I am unlikely to get inspired à la Dusty by my to-do list.
DH’s car has a puncture. He only went to get his jab!
Hope you are feeling better, Valli.8 -
Hi all
Dancemum its a sad thing to do, hope you are OK. Fayolle just keep doing what you can and getting through each day, I am hoping for some good news for you all.
DS looks very pale, I think he might be anaemic, no surprise there as he has been taking iron tablets for the last 10 years and has decided he no longer needs them. His gastro team are concerned that he hasnt had a check up since he had the Lymphoma and want some tests doing but he is ignoring them. I have gently said to him that anaemia can become serious if it is left untreated but he wasnt listening.
Anyhow, all that aside have done some paid stuff, been for a bike ride, cooked tea and hung some washing out. Tired now, might do some gentle yoga and get my PJs on.11 -
I have managed to cross a few bits off my list - I have washed the floor in the UR and the hall. I popped to the shopped for a few bits, and posted a birthday card. Downstairs sink & toilet scrubbed. I have also updated my accounts spreadsheet.
I am now watching some TV and I am going to print off some RAs and other work paperwork, as the ones I thought I had I can't find. You can guarantee they will turn up after I have printed some more!! I have so much admin type stuff to do, I get myself in such a muddle! It is overwhelming sometimes, and I don't know where to start!I need to give myself a kick up the bum and a good talking to - and stop wasting time on trivial stuff (like faffing on my phone with silly games & social media!!)

Evening all.
Hope your back is not too painful now, HB x
I've managed to do everything off my list today except hoovering upstairs, making a couple of phonecalls, and putting more ancestors to bed, but in my defence I've written some extra emails, popped down to the shops after lunch for DDiL2's birthday gift, and then decluttered some zzz before taking Rosie for her walk. I can't sleep for more than 6 hours at a time because the pain in my legs builds up, but I really can't manage on less than 7/24 hours' sleep, and preferably 8.
I boiled the last four potatoes from the bag that I bought just before Christmas, mashed them, ate some with my evening meal, and put 4 portions to freeze in a silicone muffin "tin". No waste here!
It was nice to see DS2 and DDiL2 on Z00m, looking a lot more relaxed after their 3-day holiday-at-home with the boys
I'm now going to give myself an hour of census tracking before I retire to bed. Sweet dreams to all xx9 -
Another 2 bags of shredding done.
towels washed
house vacuumed
I’m on a roll. I located a share certificate today but then discovered we shouldn’t need it as they are registered online.
Had a phone call with DS3 tonight. Our 3rd since he moved out. He seems ok. I told him about seeing a common buzzard on our neighbour’s outbuilding and the wood behind our house. He didn’t believe me but I sent him a photo.
Fayole Hope DD is comfortable and that you are allowed to work from home.
Pigpen I will ring a local one and see if they are accepting anything. I have 2 unopened packets of m & s full pants as I bought her those for Christmas.

Dancemum - M&S might take them back and refund you. (Actually they probably will...)
I'm fine - don't know what it was but there you go.
I'm going to bake a banana loaf tomorrow to give to my friend; her partner's brother is losing his battle and they are nursing him at home so they might appreciate a cake; she's been cooking for them too.
In other news I have cleaned the whole house now (during the last 5 days) - Every single room has been dusted/vacuumed, every window cleaned, all glass shades washed...v. v. pleased with myself. I will need to start again with kitchen and bathroom at the weekend but for now it is ALL done...and I cannot remember the last time it was.
Cardi band finished. Also knitted one baby mitten. Parcel will be in the post this week at this rate!
