I hope all is going well with your DD, Fayolle. Safe journeys.Thank you Kazwookie and Ionafan for the tax paperwork info. I now know just how much I can get rid of and it's going to be rather a lot. Yesterday's attack on the Garden file took nearly all day, and resulted in 131 bits of paper being flung, and all the information I needed on them put on to 7. Just 7. Very successful declutter. 45 more photographs today, bringing the February total so far to 327. Happy with that. Excellent idea for Lent Decluttering, Dusty. I'm piling the stuff up we're getting rid of to the local Hospice CS Depot when it reopens for donations in one of the letting rooms that have been very empty since someone got 'trapped' here at Lockdown last year for a few months. I've Ebayed and Gumtree'd quite a lot and mostly what's left is the small stuff that people would be willing to pay a CS for but aren't worth my while listing. Even OH is getting in on the act and has sorted out his tool shelves. *mega fling*I now need to go and deal with some purple sprouting broccoli plants that have been very neglected for months. I'm rather hoping there will be something harvestable but that would be very optimistic given they've had absolutely no TLC.Better is good enough.8

(((Hugs))) Fayolle from me too xx
I shouldn't have worked in the garden for so long yesterday: I had a painful night - you'd think I would have learnt by now! - so it's been a slow start to the day again. However:
- dailies done
- windows flung open
- tax code checked
- Toots list updated (I was pleasantly surprised at how many things I could cross off since the start of the year)
- and a draft document that we discussed at the Board meeting yesterday proofread and commented upon.
DH has done his SW session (joint Slimmer of the Week - yay!) and has gone off to the leg clinic, so in his absence I decided to
- take down the remaining Christmas lights from the front garden while they were dry and before the foliage starts growing round them, put them away tidily in their boxes and put the crate back up on top of the utility cupboards
- moved a few other bits round in the utility to clear some worktop space
- taken a pile of small cardboard boxes (in which DH's many Jan/Feb purchases were packed) out to the shed, ready to go to the hospice eee-by-gum warehouse, so the utility looks much less cluttered.
I've also made soup for lunch another day, and pancake mix for today.
Back to the FH sorting!
More hugs, spoons and sticks as needed xxx8 -
Thinking of you Fayolle.
Also hoping Dancemum is ok.
Dining room clearing ongoing. Pile of magazines in recycling. Rabbit hutch cleaned and now airing. Windows open - it's very mild.
NDN has told me their daughter has covid. She's a TA in a school and another member of staff tested +ve last week. How are schools safe?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

HB purple sprouting take no care. Mine are barely staked and have been cropping. I have removed the odd dead leaf from the floor under them and that is it.
This morning has been mainly in the kitchen making pancakes, washing up etc. Got up late as on annual leave today.
Will update my list and after my cuppa have an hour's flying then an hour's paperwork I think. Gloomy here today so glad I made the most of the sunshine yesterday. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair10 -
Good afternoon!
Paid stuff today, so I have been mainly picking up toys! I have put on the DW, and I may empty that soon.
I managed to book the dentist for next week. It was easier said than done. I spoke to a receptionist who is clearly not enjoying her job! I didn't manage to book the 2nd CV jab though. The system doesn't appear to have updated as it seems I haven't had the 1st one yet, so it won't let me book the 2nd. I will try again this week, and if no joy, I will email them.
I am busy making lists of what I want to do (clean, sort, get rid of, etc.) but I'm not sure when I plan to do it all!
Hugs to Fayolle x
Narc0 I hope you are ok my lovely, and that the BD has now been banished
Round well done on taking control - we are proud of you! I hope you get your appointment sorted soon

Thank you Goodi xx Naggy Nora gets results. I have a follow up appointment on Thursday afternoon and I've arranged my transport and time off work to attend.
I have had a long day with an achey eye, demanding patients and diva therapists. So glad to get home- curtains shut, nightie on and jacket spuds baking in the oven. And relax.
This evening's task: look up how to get rid of silverfish in the bathroom!!!!
Hope all is well.

So Mrs Naggy, you have mystical powers it seems. I got a letter today asking me to go for a Thyroid check. Will make an appointment tomorrow I promise x
Fayolle hope today went as well as it possible could. Sending you love and strength xx
I missed you all yesterday, 9 hour day at the paid stuff but I did manage to get some flying done. Change our bed and hoovered upstairs when I came home today. All is reasonably tidy, made a fab veg curry for tea, still using up the chickpeas I got in DSs food parcels last year. I have another headache, will be glad when the new glasses come.
Off to put PJs on and chill out.10 -

Wilko used to do a spray ant killer that's a clear liquid and that gets them and you can't see it; spray edges and where floor meets wall - kills any crawling insects actually.
Have bought lottery ticket. Have googled luxury apartments in London - plan is to go there and visit galleries and posh restaurants etc and basically have a good time. There may be a few flaws in the plan. Not least my dislike of heights and the fact that penthouses are on the top floor...There are also other spends planned lol
Hutch dried out and has been refilled with sawdust etc. Dining room has had full care and attention including washing some of my beautiful glass. Pile of magazines gone into recycling. I now no longer have a pile in the DR it has been DEALT WITH>
Have contacted GoFundMe as the money for the fundraiser for the PTA is still with them - they should have either paid to paypal or sent a cheque. Just shy of £1K. Half term list job.

Dailies are generally done; 1 load through wm today and next Mr T c&c booked.
Purple sprouting broccoli - huh, mine was I suspect beginning to sprout but I saw 2 pigeons there yesterday, went out to look and the *****ers have stripped it of all new growth. Tomorrow's plan is to get out the net, which was in place when the plants went out and until the end of summer, but I took it off so it wouldn't be covered in autumn leaves and debris.
At least it is mild this week so I plan to get a lot of seeds sown in the greenhouse; I bought a load early. Hey Dusty I don't want to guess how many years ago you and I met in the garden centre and bought seeds.......
Fayolle hope you get some good news soon, or as good as it can be.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9
