How were the overnight oats? My current favourite flavour is banana, pineapple and little bits of stem ginger.

The overnight oats are alright thanks @Cherryfudge. I had half for my breakfast and the other half with my mid morning cuppa so they kept me full up until lunchtime.

I was wrong about the NSD yesterday. I wondered into the HT's room to talk to him and the charger that he was using for his phone had a spilt cable. I have taped it up in the hopes of him being less likely to electrocute homself and ordered some more cables from ebay.

His friends said they'd like to come for tea yesterday so I went out and bought extra pizza and cookies. At the last minute one of them threw a strop and wanted to go home so the HT's partner had to go with her as she didn't know how to get back from where they were. This has caused a massive row between the HT and his partner as although the HT agrees that partner did the right thing, partner was making excuses for friend like "she hasn't seen her lizard all day so she wants to go home". The stroppy one is partner's best friend and we drove along the road while she refused to look at us until partner got out at the bus stop and stood with her. I'm thinking that she's not so keen on her best friend having a partner..... The pizzas can go in the freezer (just about fit) and the cookies will be eaten by someone (not me).

The HT's friend round the corner told him to go round and share his tale of woe about 7pm so he went there for an hour. It turns out that they're going to the same college so although it means I'll have two of them to take at least he'll have a friend to go with on his first day. That cheered him up a bit.

NSD today - I'm determined. We have plenty of food and no need for any more internet shopping as far as I can see. Even the tomoatoes in the garden are turning red at the rate of a couple a day so that I can use them up instead of ripening all at once and having to be kept in a big bowl in the fridge while I try to think of recipes with tomatoes in.

Oh I don’t miss being a teenager when I read about the strops…there was always something 😬 Hopefully it’s just a phase of learning how (and how not) to behave, rather than her turning into one of those people we all love to avoid 😁 You’d like to think she’s a bit embarrassed now that you went to all of that trouble to feed them for nothing.
I am also determined for NSD’s up to and including Thursday. I have called early for today on the challenge so I can’t back out 😁

Oh the teenage excuses 🤣 My 16yo told me his girlfriend was s vegetarian as she didn't like the texture of meat 🤣 MrM and I were a bit non plussed as there's loads of different textures.  Couple of weeks later and it's now because she had an eating disorder which is more understandable.

Good morning. Hopefully it will be another NSD here today as no shopping needed. There are two of us for lunch and three for dinner. All food will be from the fridge or freezer.

I should have roughly £10 left in my bank account by payday. I'll use that for extra petrol for the running round that I'll have to do while my sister is here. I've also said that I'll have a bottle of prosecco in for when she gets here and we'll probably need another bottle for Sunday evening to raise a glass to our dad after spreading his ashes so I'll buy those later this week when I have to go for bread. There will also be a takeaway and a meal out involved but I have money put aside for that.

I'm sorry you and your sister have this sad occasion ahead, but I hope that when you crack open the prosecco you will have lots of good memories along with it.
