Good afternoon all. I've had a busy morning. I loaded the car up with the remains of the old fences yesterday evening once it was cooler and I took it all to the tip first thing today. I cleaned the inside of the car when I came back - that took me an hour but I couldn't have let anyone else in it with all the bits of rotten wood and dust.
The HT's school refunded me some money from his lunch account so I added a little bit to it and paid £20 off my loan this morning. The HT's partner is coming round soon to get in the hot/cold tub in our garden. There's plenty of snacks and drinks in so they'll be happy enough here. I'm just going to chop up a melon and some strawberries and put them in tubs so there's plenty of fruit. They're not bad kids but they'd never do the chopping themselves. The HT doesn't have the strength needed in his hands and I'd hate to see the state of my kitchen if they tried.
Only the two of us here for lunch but there will be four for dinner later on. They will be eating whatever I can find in the freezer.2 -

Most pharmacists deliver free of charge now. Not through the adverts on the tv but themselves. My FiL is a delivery driver for our local chemist. You could call one and see if they deliver then ask your GP to send them there.
Well done on the lunch refund. I think I'm due one of about £3 as 11yo usually had packed lunch.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again0 -
Good morning all. No NSD yesterday as the teens have decided that a week at home in the sun with the hot tub is their "staycation". The HT's partner came with me to the supermarket to buy cookies, pizza for tomorrows dinner, crisps and cider while the HT had a tour of the college that he is going to in September. They decided that they wanted takeaway for dinner so £14 spent on a takeaway that fed them for one night and will do for my dinner tonight while they have their pizza.
The weather is glorious and we've really appreciated the hot tub. It cost £250 three years ago and the HT saved up and bought it himself with his allowance (which is £40 a month) and birthday/Christmas money. They're in and out of it all day so there's a trail of water through the house but it's good to see them enjoying it. They have floating drink holders which we also bought three years ago for 99p in HB's so I made them malibu and pineapple yesterday and put cocktail umbrellas and a straw in for the holiday feel.
This morning I'm making gingerbread biscuits and home made hobnobs. There will be four people for lunch but only three for dinner. I also had an email letter from the bank saying that my £20 extra payment had saved me £7.05 in interest.3 -
Hot tubs and cocktails, how the other half live 😆 Sounds like they’re having a great staycation 🍹 One of my friends recently bought a hot tub and she’s loving it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

The malibu was left over from the vegan coconut cream drink that I made at Christmas and the cherries were left over from a fruit cake so the only cost really was a box of pineapple juice. For the price of a the hot tub (which is 4 years old this summer and has come out of the shed as good as new) they're having a great time.3

The hot tub staycation sounds so much fun for them 😁
