Surely they should have someone checking that what has been dispensed is correct?  It does not seem possible that they should have made more than one mistake.  Unless your doctor still hand writes the prescriptions, that is where mistakes used to happen.  I bet we have all had medication that the doctor said was one thing but the box says another because it's a different make, so how are we supposed to know if it is correct?  As beanie says really really dire.  You really shouldn't have to be worrying about whether the pharmacy has given you the right meds or not.

It wasn't the doctor @badmemory. The label had the name of the correct medication at the correct dose. It also bore the signature of the person who had supposedly done the checking. This is not the first time so I will just have to be more observant in future. The pharmacy will investgate and will also send a report to my doctor so he knows that I have taken something that I shouldn't. In other news my pain levels are much reduced today now that I'm taking the correct tablets.

Good afternoon good people. NSD yesterday and also a fairly productive day. I asked the HT if we should dig the inflatable hot tub out of the shed and he said yes. It didn't come out last year or the year before but we put it away clean so I had high hopes.

We flattened 2 years worth of cardboard boxes, put all the packing bits in black bags and loaded up the car ready for the tip. The garden swing seat that the HT and his friend fell through went too. Despite not having done it for a while I inflated the tub without any problems and we gave it a wipe down and filled it. This morning I went to the tip first thing to empty the car, then food shopping was done and I was home by 10am.

I've chlorinated the water in the tub and I'll test it later. I'd also like to say that I have no intention whatsoever of heating it. It's warm enough out there. I'm also pleased that for the first time in a while the shed floor is very visible. When Covid hapened there were a few boxes in there because of keeping them in case things needed to be returned. By the time we cleared it yesterday, the pile of junk had reached the window and that was even with me managing to dispose of some of it in the wheelie bin now and then.

I've paid £257.50 off my V credit card (0% for 2 years) which will leave the balance at a round number. Payment isn't due until August but I prefer to pay as soon as the statement is produced.

So glad the correct meds are helping, but I have to be honest I have never heard of it before, can you change the pharmacy you are using?  I changed mine not because of an error but because they don't seem to be able to organise a booze up in a brewery!

So envious of the hot tub.

It's the pharmacy attached to the doctors surgery @badmemory and it's 5 minutes down the road so changing it would be massively inconvenient. They've done it before, a couple of years ago. I think I had anti convulsant medication that time and when I rang them and told them (noticed when I got them home) they sent someone up to collect them and give me the correct things. Both times the label on the box was for the medication that I should have had.

my old pharmacy was right next door to the doctors.  I can get things much quicker doing repeats via the Tesco pharmacy 3 miles away than with them.  If it has already happened more than once it probably will happen again.  Is there a pharmacy that you go past regularly?  Once is a mistake, twice is a disaster in waiting.  They are not taking care.  And you & HT deserve a pharmacy that takes care.  You could always find one that delivers, they normally don't charge.

That’s awful the pharmacy gave you the wrong medication. More than once too 😡 They could kill someone with their carelessness.

Yes and if I'd taken the tablets back in February when they were given out instead of stashing them because I became too ill to take anything it could well have been me. My GGT (liver enzyme reading) at the time was 1676 and it should be about 18. Anti coagulants were just about the last thing I needed as I was pale yellow and bruising very easily at the time. I did tell the pharmacist that.....

It just worries me that they have done the same thing more than once.
