I can get behind theoretical plant shopping as long as it isn’t also theoretical coffee and cake if the garden centre has a cafe ☹️

I've made fruit cake so we'll have cake and coffee when we come back home. Pre covid we would have a cuppa there but it depends how busy it is today.

Good morning. Soooo.....it's been a while. I was tired on Thursday because I didn't sleep well the night before. NSD despite our outing even though I did choose a plant (£3.99 last of the big spenders) best friend paid for it with his stuff and wouldn't take any money. He also drove so not much petrol used this week. Friday was a small spendy day as I went to pick up my t-shirt order from M&S food hall and I bought their cheap ham and bread for the HT to make sandwiches. I also gave his partner £2.20 for the bus fare back home.

NSD yesterday and today should be another. Just as well given the state of my bank account. Best friend called in after I'd finished work yesterday for a cuppa and a chat then after he'd gone the HT started moving furniture upstairs. I went to help and between us we moved things round enough to put the big desk from the spare room in there (like I'd suggested 8 months ago) so that he is set up with plenty of room for college work. We didn't finish until 9:15pm but his room is the cleanest that it has been so far this year and he's very pleased with it.

Today I will be liberating his bedding to wash, dry and remake his bed. I also have some towels to wash, a normal wash load and I want to cut the grass out the back while it's not raining. It was dry enough to cut last night but I was busy playing furniture tetris.

Have a good day all, whatever you may be doing.

Thanks @Willowtree222 - neither of us like busy cafe places so we gave it a miss and had home made fruit cake and coffee in peace and quiet once we were back at mine. I've been  out for lunch with my aunty but we go early while it's quiet and come away as places are starting to fill up.

It sounds like you had a very productive day. I hope it stays lovely and warm for the washing ☀️

DD is fond of a room reorganisation. The last one happened once we heard a shriek from the bedroom as she'd tried to move a massive double 1KEA closet and it'd tipped over. Cue spending 3 hours reorganising the room and getting it sorted (but left to do it alone it'd probably have taken a week). Having said that their room is the only bit of the house kids usually get to control so I totally get why they like a good shift around every once in a while.
    Choose kind:)

@Hazelnutty my best friend said more or less the same when I used to moan about the state of that room. He said it's his, leave him to it so I did. It's taken about 2 years but now it's mostly clean and tidy and he does it all himself. I did clean the windows this morning as he just wouldn't see the need for that. Occasionally if I'm cleaning the rest of upstairs I'll go in and hoover however much carpet I can see. It's a system that works for us and the only rule is that you don't put food in your bedroom bin unless you're prepared to empty it every day because it will stink.

Good morning. Usual grocery shopping done yesterday and I'm hoping that we will be eating from the freezer for a while as it's full. Very full...... The cat has plenty of food as the HT and I went for a walk and stocked up in HB's on the way back. My usual supermarket hasn't had the 11+ cat food for about 3 weeks now so I was happy to find some. There was just the two of us for lunch yesterday but then there were four people for dinner.

It's the end of the month so time for the debt roundup. There was interest added to my Tesco card but I have now shifted it to 0%. I also moved the balance of my other 0% card - may seem silly but the total cost of balance transfer for both was £62.50 and now I only have to pay one card which is a lot easier. I would have paid more than the balance transfer cost in interest on the Tesco card in 2 months so I have definitely saved money.

    CC debt 5062.50/6816.69
    Loan       1550.00/2158.54
    Rings            0.00/ 132.00
    Bed               0.00/   70.09

    Total         6612.50/9177.32

    Debt reduction this month £267.50
    Debt reduction since LBM £2564.82

It looks less this month because total of interest and balance transfer was about £100. It should look a lot better next month. I plan to pay the cc debt before the 0% runs out. I also saved myself £16.37 interest by overpaying my loan.

All heading in the right direction.  I'm having trouble getting 11+ cat food too in supermarkets and there's very little choice when they do have it.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
