Good morning. Day one of July yesterday and I spent £7.99 in the garden centre. £3 on "have seen better days" lupins that were reduced but I'll plant them and they'll look grand next year and £4.99 on a geranium which I can take cuttings from and make lots more geraniums. Best friend has ordered a lot of dahlias from some mail order place at a bargain price so I definitely don't need any of those (he's ordered 17 for me or something equally daft).
Today I'm off out to the city to give blood. I've allowed myself some spends so that I can have a mooch round the shops but I don't expect to come home with anything much unless I see something for the HT. My wages were higher than I thought this month which will cover the spends today so I'm happy with that. If I have anything left over I will overpay my loan with it this evening which seems like a good plan as the monthly interest being charged is coming down nicely.
I hope you all have a good day 😊3 -

Thanks - we had a change of plan for the shopping. I gave blood then came home to collect the HT and we went to a small town in Wales instead because the HT had seen something in a shop there that he thought he might like. It was somewhere that we've never been before despite it being fairly close and I do like going to new places. We've agreed to go back another day, have lunch there and have a rummage in the charity shops as there seemed to be quite a few.
We did buy something so yesterday was a spendy day but budgeted for as we usually have a day out once a week in the school holidays. NSD today to make up for it and my boss has given me the money owed for Looked after Person's meals so I have £30 cash in the pot on the shelf now. I've just cashed out £11.59 from surveys and paid £18.01 off my loan to keep it in even numbers so £6.42 of the overpayment came from my account. That's reduced the interest by £6 and the payment schedule by one month (yay).
It's raining hard outside so no gardening today but on the plus side no need to water the garden either. I think that Looked after Person and I will be going for a drive this morning instead of a walk.3 -
It was raining here this morning but seems to have brightened up.

Spendy day yesterday on compost to repot the venus fly traps. Fingers crossed that repotting doesn't upset them too much. Only planned food shopping today and petrol in the car (also planned) so happy with that.
I called in on my aunty to pass on a really good handbag that my friend had given me for her so had a chat and a coffee there. I dropped a card and some chocolate off for a friend who was returning to work after being off sick and then came home to do some baking - chocolate brownies and home made hobnobs.
I was hoping to do some gardening tomorrow but the weather guess says rain all day, sigh. I suppose it saves watering the garden at least.... I started sorting out the spare room yesterday afternoon so I have a bag of "things" ready to go on ebay. I suppose that I could do that instead - it's possibly a more profitable way to spend the day. I've already had a decent bid on one of the HT's gaming books that we put on to see if they'd sell.

@WinterWarrior it's a very easy brownie recipe, honest. They're the HT's favourite so I make them a lot. I'm not a fan of anything complicated.
I didn't sleep much last night so I'm not sure how much of my "to do" list I'm going to manage today. I've just taken the HT's partner to the bus station so that's one person less to feed. I don't have the Looked after Person this week either as he's isolating after a covid case at the day centre that he goes to. I have offered to take him for a drive if his parents need a break.
NSD today I think - the weather is awful so I'm not going outside unless it brightens up and if it does stop raining there is plenty to do in the garden. Today will be NSD number 2 - yet again I'm trying to keep count. I tend to lose count mid way through the month.1 -
I joined this challenge (joyful July nsd challenge) hopefully the link will work.
