Sounds like you’ve had a good overhaul of your finances and some great plans in place. A holiday will be fabulous, do you have anywhere particular in mind?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Graceland will be fabulous, holiday of a lifetime. One of the things on my bucket list was to have a Mojito in Cafe Mambo Ibiza watching the sunset. Did it once then again and again, hooked for life now 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Thank you @Blackcats. I'm thinking that the fear of no car will be a fairly good motivation too...0

Always great to have a wee plan
My best cat boy was 20 when he went to rainbow bridge.
He certainly was a fighter in his day & brought lots of unwanted gifts.
The one thing I don't miss about him.
My wee girl who is a recue has never brought me anything. Phew!

Good evening. It's been one of those days here......HT didn't want to go to his leavers assembly because he didn't get an email invite so I took him to school where he spent 10 minutes dropping off thank you cards and came out. I dropped him back home and went to Asda. I get halfway round Asda and he's on the phone....mum I've got an award and my form tutor said I should be there..... paid for the shopping that I'd managed to do, went home, collected him and dropped him back at school. Went back to Asda and fnished shopping. Put petrol in the car, went home and put the shopping away then went back to collect him from school (again). By that time I didn't know if I wanted to scream, cry or pack his bags. I also had a banging headache. He asked for Maccies for lunch and did offer to pay but didn't actually go so far as to get his bank card out so I've appropriated his £10 award vouchers as recompense for that.
Other than the two part grocery shop (about £5 over but not in a fit state to care), weekly petrol and the extra spend on the Maccies everything is fine. I have gin, he has his partner staying over, the cat hasn't bitten anyone today (yet) - it's all good.2 -
As long as you have gin all is good 🍹I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
