@Grumpy_chap A poster on a similar thread questioned the Edf tariff and it was rapidly changed.
My transfer has been slow but I am on the correct tariff - Welcome 5- and the DD which is unchanged starts on June 1. The process is helping me as the GNE/Edf tariff ran out last month and has effectively been frozen for several months.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

I don't think its 'competition' when you have to go through this just to save a couple of quid.In this particular case I don't think EDF have done themselves or anybody else any favours in the way this transfer has been handled. However the experience isn't the norm, I used to be with GB Energy that got shifted to the Co-op and that was done relatively quickly. Can't remember if GB had more or less customers though, probably less.If you want to stick with the big six that's up to you but don't' come back and complain you're paying a fortune for your energy. And you can save more than "a couple of quid".0

I too have at last reached stage 4 for gas and electric with EDF, BUT without a final billing from GNE I cannot set up a ddm.FGS, will someone at GNE/administrators please wake up, they've had almost 4 months to forward data to EDF...balances, consumption etc. Is that toooo much to ask?0

I ask because EDF were quite happy to set up a DDM for me, and (as it turns out) they're asking for roughly the same monthly payment as GNE were receiving. GNE were £57 pcm, EDF are £56. And before anyone feels the need to tell me, yes I've checked and based on the tariff that's about right for my annual consumption.
I can agree with this! I paid GNE 4x£57 payments and my usage for the period totaled about £370 so I'm going to owe GNE about £140.FGS, will someone at GNE/administrators please wake up, they've had almost 4 months to forward data to EDF...balances, consumption etc. Is that toooo much to ask?

There isn't one for EDF.On giving EDF my bank details they advised the value of same (and I agreed with it) but then couldn't process it pending a final GNE bill for fear there was any arrears thereon.0

On 25th January 2021, I initiated a transfer to Utility Point. Then on 1st February I get an email from EDF saying they are taking over from GNE.SInce then I have had an online chat session with EDF (about 2 weeks ago) and this week I thought I would check further and use the EDF WhatsApp link. All I get is that EDF is having dificulty getting data from GNE and it is all taking longer. My Driect Debits to GNE stopped in a timely manner and Utility Point Direct Debits are going out and have doing so for 3 months.I have a couple of months credit from GNE to comeback sometime one day - via EDF I am led to beleive. I do not have an EDF account or a welecome pack or anything - just the we are taking over email on 1st Feb.I can submit meter readings to Utility Point each month but there are no bills or statements being generated. So I emailed Utilty Point asking what is happening (I did include mentioning GNE) and my email has been acknowledged and passed on within Utility Point as "there appears to be an IT error with my account". So I guess as everyone else has assorted leaving/starting meter reading issues, this is probably happening with Utility Point.I notice the GNE website is no longer working, but one month ago I succeeded in logging in, viewed my GNE account and took a pdf screen print of my account status so I know how much I am oned.0

Well I haven't had a welcome pack yet, and don't have any details to register on the EDF website. I haven't had anything from EDF since mid-April. My DD to GNE was £36, which may be why EDF aren't treating me as a priority, but a more realistic figure now would be £80. I must be £300 + in arrears.
My DD to GNE has disappeared from my list of DDs, but I don't have a new one from EDF.
I'm convinced this is going to involve far too much input from me before it is resolved.0
