@Nebulous2 it's interesting that you are still paying GNE DD's.
In mid-April my GNE DD stopped and was transferred to EDF. That was a day or two after EDF sent me my welcome pack. (I say "sent" but the only place it's appeared is on-line in my EDF account! You might want to check yours?)

I am increasingly of the opinion that this time to manage the change process is a plan by EDF, tied up with the "price promise" made to OFGEM about no-one paying more before September.

I am paying at an entirely unknown rate at present, except I am not paying as I cancelled the DD to GNE and have not yet been asked to start a new DD with EDF.  I am simply building a balance that will become due to someone at some time but, hopefully, will be offset by the large credit balance I had withy GNE at the start of the process.

I am sure the current rate will be "high".  So, once EDF eventually get the transfer processed, I will either go out to the market and get a competitive rate or have to wait until September when we should get the refund back from EDF.  No doubt, EDF will then put us on a high rate and take several months to process the refunds during which change of supplier will be difficult.

Given the very poor communication so far, I don't trust EDF and just want to get out.

Apparently, we have one of the "better" SoLR transfers and should count ourselves lucky...

I've been thru 4 SOLR processes involving small Co. failures. NONE took anywhere near as long as your current saga with EDF. I had moved onwards to a different Utility supplier from the SOLR ,account fully set up, in less than 10 weeks in every case !!

I've just checked. GNE took my DD on 26th April. Interestingly enough my DD has now disappeared from my authorised list on my Santander account, but hasn't been replaced by EDF.

I thought I needed a welcome pack and customer number to log in to EDF? I haven't looked at their website at all, other than the welcome to EDF for GNE customers general page.

Checking my records, on the 21st of April I received two emails from no-reply@edfenergy.com that began:
    Welcome to EDF
We've now set up your Electricity account
Your new energy account number is 6nnnnnnnnnnn
(The second email was almost identical but referred to my gas account.)
The email included a link to register an account on EDF's website, and it was in that account that I found my electronic welcome packs (one for electricity, one for gas). Have you had one of these emails yet? If not, you might get one soon.

I was transferring to GNE when they collapsed but was too late in the process to stop the transfer. My previous supplier (Avro) has issued a final bill and I've cleared the balance. I've continued the DD with GNE but not a thing from EDF. My first SOLR process and it's not been great. I expect it will all settle down in time but I like to keep on top of things and this is quite unnerving.

Is this thread referring to Green Ltd.  https://green.energy/our-company  as they are currently showing as a good option for me on the MSE Cheap Energy Club.

I know Ofgem advice against moving supplier during this process but it does make you wonder if that is good advise.
I moved to Scottish Power  (I know...bad move) and now moving again to Neon. I stopped my DD to GNE  immediately and calculate I owe less that £5.
I would do the same if a company went bust again.
