My GNE website is back up and running and I was able to enter a meter reading. The portal also shows the DD's made since Edf took over.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

After learning my power supplies were being transferred to EDF from 31 January I took & submitted my actual meter readings and then just sat back to see what would happen. Well that was a 'Welcome' email from EDF on 1 Feb & a 'You Just Joined us' email on 3 Mar. GNE have still been taking my DDs (on 12 Feb & 12 Mar) and no new DD has been set up for EDF. I haven't given anyone any further readings.
Based on my experience of the SoLR switch from Yorkshire Energy to Scottish Power I expected that:
 a) GNE wouldn't be billing me beyond 31 Jan OR be taking DDs, &
 b) EDF would by now have set up a DD & be asking me for my start readings & beyond.

PS using the 'who is my supplier' link my gas is with EDF but my electric is still with GNE (well it shows a little red x in a box but gives the contact no for GNE ) )

I haven't had any further DDs taken since GNE stopped operating - my DD is still live though.
I would presume no further payments were meant to be taken by them until EDF take over ?0

After seeing the comments immediately following mine I assume that everyone else is also having DDs taken by EDF unless they cancelled their DDs (or cancelled and reinstated like @BigBlueSky??). Will continue to sit back & try not to stress about it.

EDF have now taken a couple of direct debits from our account, the same value that GNE were taking.0
