Monday 22nd February 2021
Apologies, horrible start to the day and it's taken a while to work through. Basically put my head out of my bedroom door and got it bitten off (par for the course atm). So scribbled down exactly how I was feeling (not going to go through all that, just need to acknowledge it, but feeling trapped and under attack). Life has narrowed still further as mum has taken to commenting on every mouthful I take so have started eating in my room rather than with her (mostly of the "you won't lose weight if you keep eating x,y,z" but graduated to counting how many times a day I eat - had 6 breaded mushrooms the other week with a humongous salad, put mushrooms in oven, put salad together and mushrooms still weren't ready so ate the salad and then went back for the mushrooms - later on I'd eaten at least twice already that day and it's always framed as being greedy, wolfing, etc).
Wrote out a list of of things I want to do but can't manage yet. My arms are improving - it was less hard to push myself up from the bed. Noted a few bits I might be able to do - painting if I go slowly and try to do as much as possible sitting down, moving some of the stones by holding onto the fence with both hands and using the side of my wellies to move them.
Then wrote a list of what I can do - sewing as long as I stop when my arms start to ache and as soon as the light starts to fade, some admin tasks.
Another list of things that will make me feel better and improve my life right now - getting outside, walking, reading, sewing, dancing and music. Goth Bunny is on standby for hugs and cuddles. Then wrote a list of things that need routines (including organising mum - her ulcer is trying to make a comeback because she is not doing exercises to help her circulation).
The sun came out, I hung out my washing, sat on a chair in the garden, put some of boxes with coir compost up on the trolley to dry out a bit - middle of the blocks were dry so I broke them up and gave them more water to absorb and then they've had 3 days rain so they're now waterlogged. Good painting day but don't want to push it. There will be other good days ahead. Going to plant seeds and go for a walk (may only be onto the canal bank and as far as the bridge support for the road - want to go further but it's a long way to the next sitting down place so will make myself a programme to work up to that).
Thought for the day
Life would be a million times better if there were pinatas strategically placed throughout the day.
Grateful for my mum (she said something nice to me - she likes the new 'dishcloths' I bought), for good simple food and the series of books I am reading/ re-reading.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Sorry to being AWOL.
Am on 17 NSD's. My mh has not been that great. It would have been my Mum's 90th birthday over a week ago. Did manage to go to her grave on her birthday.
Grateful for:
Daffodils I brought over a week ago are open and lasting this length of time.
Free lunch in work.
Someone brought cake in today at work, had a slice.
Having a book to read.

NSD No 16 and what a gorgeous day it was. Has Spring arrived?
Kerry woman - Lots of hugs. xxxx
Mothernerd - My late Mother was exactly the same. I just couldn't do anything right but my brothers and sister in laws were perfect. Actually they were all really nice and very good at helping out with her. It's difficult to deal with all the criticism though. But, I think you are amazing. I don't know many (actually any) people who would be doing what you are.
Got a few things done but the elder of the wee ones kept wandering in and out so I had to stop what i was doing to go feed the birds, etc with her. Bless her, she is so missing school but I've explained to her why that is and she does understand. Only another few weeks and she'll be back (hopefully).
Had a lovely dinner of steak and dauphinous potatoes. Don't know if I'll be able to do the key lime cheesecake.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Shrewbie - good luck at the interview.Kerry Woman - hugs for you. Do you have more work beyond the end of Feb?Mothernerd- hugs for you too. Hope you were able to get out and about today. How big is your garden? I tend to shrink everything down to the size of mine (approx 5m x 6m), but no way would all your gardening activities for into that space!Today I am grateful for a decent 1st day back at work, for dd getting fantastic physics results, for getting out for a walk, for finding a new-to-me pair of tartan jama trousers in my drawers.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

I had a nsd - but DH insisted on popping out to A1d1 to buy sausages (he doesn't like Tesc0 ones 🙄) sigh...
Got my act back together today re food and exercise- did a short zumba session and a plod walk (ended up with wet feet) and am on just over 12k steps. Food also good today - now just to keep it up as I have regained a small amount of the weight I lost last year during this lockdown - and I want/need to lose more, not put some back on! Time to get back on it!
Thankful for- a beautiful day weather wise - positively Spring like, mild, blue skies - lovely - and makes everything so much better! Also thankful for nice food, a good night's sleep (even if not enough), the youngest 2 getting back on with home learning stuff today, for the announcement of a timetable of things easing - let's hope we can stick to it and that rates etc continue to fall and vaccinations continue to happen:) 🤞🙌I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £206 -
Evening all
@facethemusic my back is good so hopefully be back to longer rides in time for spring/summer. Nice to get out again isn't it!
NSD number 14 here. Got paid from p/t job, think they may have overpaid me but haven't seen payslip yet. Had an accident which involved me stepping on house bunny and squashing her this morning so off to the vet she went as she limped a bit afterwards. Luckily she seems OK, need to pay the bill tomorrow.

hi
NSD #12 - i think this is my best month too for NSDsWasn't in the mood for work but had a good meeting at the end of the day so felt very positive. Did my exercise class on Fb straight after work which was tough but i really enjoyed it. Then went for a walk as not been outside at all today. Have eaten well, need to keep it up...
Gratitudes - productive work meeting; arranged a virtual coffee for Weds with the other work newbie (we both started last year but she never even made it into the office!); exercise teacher who keeps the classes varied and challenging

Monday- still on NSD 12. I seem to be struggling with not spending money, but lots of the spends gave been less than £5 so its poor planning rather than excess spending!
lcc- hope bunny is OK.
Grateful today for more cake, the sun shining and a cat snuggled on my knee.5 -
Still on NSD 15 but I did manage to bag quite a few bargains of the YS kind. Pantry restocked and freezer full. One item returned to Jason's Boat shop.Gratitudes: only 9 home-schooling days left to go (how selfish is that?), food in the house again (it was getting a bit tricky), and that I am me, and not one of the utter muppets I have had to deal with today. Darwin would have had a hard time justifying his theories if he had seen some of the nonsense playing out in front of me today, and sausages, always grateful for sausages.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
