Greent - my school say that they would like to bring in kids on the Fri before the 8th, but cannot because it would be breaking the law. Boris says 8th so anything before that is illegal... Interesting times in Gloucs...

Evening all
Hope those of you with kids get a bit more clarity soon and that this is truly the last time schools have to reopen!
NSD number 15 here, finally hit my target woohoo. Spent the day doing cleaning, reading my book, watching TV, not much really. Decided to buy a new mop but OH paid for it, that was probably the highlight of the day! Weather continues to be good though, had the windows open and everything just smells so fresh and lovely. I know it's probably too early but I love a bit of spring weather!
Also finally got paid my overtime so March budget is looking great! Should be able to make a good dent in the debt, along with the extra money I have left from messing up Feb's budget and thinking I had much less than I actually had.6 -
Today I am grateful for a chat with my dep head, for a good day of teaching, for a really fun craft club after school, for time with dd when we went to sainz, for dd now looking forward more to returning to school.

Wednesday- NSD 14/15. I might make it to 15 after all.
Managed to convince DD to go for a run with me and felt really good after it. Also had a riding lesson and now my legs are feeling the effects of all the exercise! I stewed another pan of mixed fruits so if I eat that mixed with yogurt over the next couple of days I have a very easy, reasonably healthy "sweet" treat to hand.
Managed to run the hoover round and done some washing, but no other useful tasks done today at all (ooooooops).
It's getting so much lighter now- won't be long before we can be outside in the evening without being in darkness.7 -
13 NSD - I’m so close to 15! Saturday is a guaranteed spend day - it’s when the big weekly grocery shop arrives. So Friday and Sunday have to be NSD. Got a few good YS yesterday - things I actually went for! Portobello mushrooms, basil, avocados, and milk.
Still waiting on the tv seller getting back to me. I sent a follow up email to them yesterday asking if there’s any update. Will wait until the end of the week for a response. But will be ordering a new tv by the weekend.
DS starts his new nursery on Monday. I’d applied for him to go in April. But they said his place was there and he could start any time.
I’ve done another few modules of my 40-hour online course. I’ve got another week’s annual leave to go and I would really like to complete the course in that time. I started it about 2 years ago and it’s been sitting at 16% complete all that time. Since restarting it this week, I’m now at 41%.
At the start of the month, I set myself a challenge, and a reward if I completed it. Had I resisted OH’s ‘I’d like a chippy tonight’ on Tuesday, I would have treated myself to a very nice bath soak made in the Lake District.
I did at least finish the course I was doing and the book I was reading. But I didn’t get 3/3. I’ll try and get my bath soak next month with a new challenge.
Grateful for tea in bed, lighter mornings, and milder weather.

If you're feeling worried about how little you've achieved, remember that Bram Stoker didn't write Dracula until he was 50 and Dracula didn't kill anybody until he was dead. It's never too late.
Run Towards Possibility
Filter everything that happens this week through the lens of Joy - always looking for the silver lining and what you can be thankful for. As you do, joy will smooth out the path of you and give you peace, hope and faith in the future.
Even amid uncertainty, joy will give you the strength to have unshakeable confidence that your work will flourish and create an impact in the world.
So take joy and run with a full heart towards possibilities. You were made for greatness.
Whatever you do, please don't waste your time comparing yourself to others. There is enough space for us all to be beautiful, intelligent and successful in our own way.
Do everything with a joyful heart
No matter what is going on in your world, no matter what happens today - do everything with a joyful heart.
During the highs and lows, choose a stance of celebration
Every day, choose to find something to be thankful for, decide to find the gold and resolve to look for the happy moments.
If you can't find anything to be joyful about, remember this: you are alive with a beating heart and air flowing through your lungs. This means you work here is not finished and you haven't reached your story's end. You have a purpose. You have a dream that needs you to bring it to life. That is something to be joyful about and celebrate.
Grief
The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not 'get over' the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same, nor should you want to.
