Afternoon all, NSD number 13 today. Schooled the horse and then as the weather was so nice I took him for a quick ride out as well. That's the most I've ridden since my back procedure so I'll see how I feel tomorrow. Also washed the car this afternoon, even though I said elsewhere in this thread that I don't do it any more as it aggravates my back
I have next week off work so plans are to clean inside the car, do a few jobs around the house, sort out next month's budget, lots of walks and hopefully lots of lie ins!6 -

I’ve been preparing for an interview which I’ve got next week. I really want the job, on the phone they have told me that my profile is ideal so I’m really hoping it goes well face to face. eek

Hello lovely NST - I hope you've all had a decent day.
I am on 11 NSD as of yesterday. I might actually make 15 this month! Spent quite a bit today, but not without my NST head on.
Saved £30 on our annual Dusney subscription. It's due to go up from £60 to £80 within the next few days. So I cancelled our current subscription and signed up for a new one at the lower rate, and also got £10 cash back. I ordered DS a new pair of walking boots which were on sale and I found a further 15% off code, and got 3% cash back.
Our car insurer also refunded us £10 for unused mileage. If you've car insurance with DirectL___ it's worth applying. Takes a couple of minutes on their website.
The nursery situation:
Yesterday morning we got a good letter through the door. DS has been accepted to the local school nursery. It's a good nursery, within walking distance, and it's 50p rather than £10 a day for the 'resource contribution fee'.
The TV situation:
The dark vertical shadows on the Sam-sings tv continue to get worse. The company we bought it from 4 years ago has closed down. But they are honouring consumer rights, and have asked us for an engineer report. Having spoken to the Sam-sing-approved engineer, the cost to fix the TV would be more than buying a new one. The conclusion is we will be buying a new TV, but holding out to see what the company comes back with.
The car tax situation:
Managed to pull together £800 towards our impending £1200 tax bill for the work car that sat stationary for most of the year. Very annoyed at having to save my little weekly savings on things like shopping towards paying for this. But once it's paid, it's gone!
Grateful today for sunshine, a breezy and uplifting walk with OH and DS, a video chat with family in Oz.

I'm on NSD 14 today. Feeling as happy relaxed but not particularly ready for the week ahead. Have decided work only starts at 8 Am tomorrow morning. So will relax tonight and enjoy a quick tv show before jumping into the term turmoil tomorrow.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Another quiet day, some sewing, a bit of tidying, basic cooking (I defrosted a pack of cooking bacon so that mum could make some pea soup and she's more or less spent all weekend doing that so just seeing to myself and eating the leftovers from the fridge). To be honest I still feel wiped out from scrabbling around on the floor, getting cans and jars re-stacked and listed and back into cupboards and I'm not going to attempt anything strenuous (I have stone moving, soil digging, painting and building raised beds) until I feel a bit better. My arms are aching again just from doing a little bit of sewing.
Grateful for smoked haddock, little potatoes, being able to find things mum has 'lost' - her immediate reaction is to assume I've put it somewhere, a good book to read (several in a series, some of which I have read before).

hi all
NSD #11 today. Managed to get some washing almost dry on the line. Have done my usual Sunday chore of ploughing through more of my qualification. Had a nice phone chat to DD2. Went for a walk with DD1's bestie; nice to walk by the river now the floods have gone. Made a veggie roast dinner with extras to feed me tomorrow too. Have chipped a chunk off tooth filler again so will need another trip to the dentist having already been twice this year, including last fridayRang parents and had a nice chat - not seen them for a year - end of Feb 20.
Weekends go too quickly; was thinking i need to book some time off then remembered i was off last Monday!
Gratitudes - nice walk in the sunshine; getting washing almost dry on the line; making progress with my qualification, even if it is very slow, it is still going in the right direction

Sunday- still on 12 NSD.
Today has been a quiet day, but a good day. Rode the horse, went for a run with DD and the dog, pottered round doing some house work and filled the day with not very much else.
Grateful for that "feel good" rush following exercise, cake (that cancels out the exercise 🤣) and a new box set I'm really enjoying.
Lcc- hope the back holds up to riding and car washing.
shrewbie-good luck with the job interview.

@ldee2111 send this link to the clever person wanting an engineers report and ask if it is a recognised design fault. It is a common problem with that brand. From about 2years 2 weeks in- ie 2 weeks after the warranty ends.
