The 'sort / file a pile of papers' has turned into a bigger job than I thought...so far I have gone through the files and shredded all the out of date stuff, and now I can start filing / sorting / shredding / recycling the pile of papers that I've retrieved from the living room floor. I'm working at the kitchen table because it is now clear - thanks to Flylady

Everything else on Round 1 is done except WUDUPA - only a handful to do, so I'll clear it after I've had my tea.
As for mse - how about this? I bought my kettle in July 2007 for £9.99 and it's still merrily boiling away as and when required. They don't make things like they used too lol.
I'm going to take Sweetie into the kitchen so that he can see me supervise. This may take a while.
Enjoy your afternoon

Just been for our post lunch brisk walk, it was a shorter walk as DH had a call at 1. But it was lovely to be out in the fresh air, sunshine and blue skies.
HHI done
WM x 2
TD x 2
Dinner tonight will be left over roast beef with mash or potato dauphinois if I can be bothered to slice potatoes.
Off in search of a piece of chocolate tart that DD2 made yesterday9 -
Morning all, and thank you Natty for the new thread and Valli for last week's.
So far this morning I have
- S&S'd bathroom
- S&S'd kitchen
- watered house plants
- checked through a pile of FH papers from the box I found yesterday, and binned/shredded them all
- emptied bins from all over the house
- decluttered snow off our front path, to join up with where our NDN's son cleared yesterday
- made small fruit cakes and found roll-out icing, to send to DGC so that they can do the decorating! I had to look for a vegan cake recipe to suit DDiL3 - it tastes good uncooked

Been to the post office and chemist, even remembered to take the new 2021 insurance details for them so all up to date.
Post dealt with and filed away immediately
DD2 is up the tree doing some pollarding,
Off to check on WM & TD and then make a cuppa.7 -
I'm at the 'whose bright idea was this?' stage with the filing so I'm having a breather. Everything is now in date order and I have just finished filing September 2020 of my stuff. Then there's DS's file to update and he can take it the next time he comes.
I've updated the calendar with MOT expiry date and Car Tax renewal date. Nearly filled a carrier bag with shredded documents. And working at the kitchen table is so much kinder to my back and so much easier than trying to balance everything on my knee.
Keep on keeping on.

Afternoon.....I am going to try and be "in" this week. The Skint Pit isnt looking too bad, as I keep saying to kids "is the house photograph ready?" meaning if we had to take a Zoom call in 5 minutes time, would it be presentable enough to conduct it with camera on? If the answer is no, then we have all have a quick 5 minute run around to try to make a difference.
Trying to focus on getting some Xmas chub off this week, so I will be trying to use up the mystery contents of my chest freezer and give it a defrost. Talking of long-service appliances, I bought the chest freezer from Bejams in 1992 , it has been through 2 house moves, a period in a shipping container and another house move and it refuses to die, it is going to outlast me at this rate!
I have spent 2 hours cleaning up one of my email accounts, and unsubscribing from loads of pages that no longer hold any interest for me and deleted off about 2000 odd unread emails, so finding what I want will be a lot easier going forwards.
Time for a brew, then I will make a start on the bathroom. Hugs, sticks and spoons for everyone in need xxx
The cold never bothered me anyway7 -

Our internet is struggling with overuse and the next band up is £30 more a month!
Washers are both on and the DW done so the kitchen is half decent.
I'm having a very irritable day today it seems.. thinking it may be hormone related or I could be fed up, have cabin fever, need sleep and feel a bit meh..
I'm going to wrap presents and stomp about I think. Rage flinging always makes me feel better
