Morning xx
Is everyone catching up on lost zzzzs? I didCame down at 8 am because I wanted my brew. Anxiety is high as I plan to ring an auto locksmith this morning - I hate ringing people...which is crazy as I spend a huge percentage of my time at work doing exactly that without batting an eyelid. But that's a different sort of ringing people!!!
Round 1 =
get dressed
bring laundry hamper down
sort washing
set first load swishing
feed the birds
put out the rubbish and recycling
breakfast
WUDUPA
ring the man
Back later. Love to all.

Morning
Belated birthday congrats to your DD, Valli, and congratulations to your niece. Welcome to the world, little one.
Busy day at work yesterday, which left me with a headache and a hankering for a g&t, which DD duly made for me when I finally got home 😇. I wish I could say that I did something useful (like Narc0, for example), but, honestly, trying to get my head around various VAT changes due to B**** and sorting out systems, did not feel like a productive day.So today should be a flying day, after I have got DD to work. Next week is a dreaded week, doubt the flying will be high on the list. I also have to make a phone call - it’s my DSis, for goodness sake, but still I’m dreading it...exactly as you said Round - fine at work, a quivering wreck with the phone at home.
I’ll be back later to report progress - it may very well be a short visit!
Hugs and love to all x7 -
Ha Round I am the same, I had to ring the doctors to change an appointment for DS. They are pretty good at making you feel small/stupid/annoying anyway, so it took me ages to get around to it. Hope the lock man is kind to you x
Bit anxious this morning, for no specific reason. DS is away for the night with work so its very quiet, which for once I dont mind. My utility room looks so tidy and my 99p daffodils on the kitchen table have opened up and look bright and cheery, small things to be happy about. No idea what the day brings, I think I need to do some finance spreadsheets.
Keep checking in Fayolle we need to know you are OK - well as OK as you can be x I think ASB has gone down so technological black hole, missing her.8 -
YL Daffs are my favorite flower, I love it when they open up.Not a lot done so far today, but have been doing the RSPB 1 hour bird watch, so far the 'birds' include 2 deer, 1 squirrel, 5 pheasants! plus some garden birds.Fairly windy here, with a snow warning issued.Have a good dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Round 1 completed, including 'ring the man'
He was very kind and reassuring and it turns out that he lives in the next village which somehow made him easier to ring. He is coming tomorrow to have a look but he made it sound sortoutable - no sharp intake of breath or humming and hawing. Fingers crossed xx
1st load of washing is on the airer and second load is swishing. And I've glugged bleach down the loo. I'm having a coffee now - although I'm not 100% relaxed as I now have a man coming to look at the car tomorrow!!! Eeek.
Sidenote - because I did all that filing on Monday if said man needs my VIN or key number I know exactly where they are.Hide your eyes from the glare of that halo
I think I'll empty a bag in the living room - seeing as the dailies are done.

I have about 20 loads of laundry to do and difficulties getting it dry.. I doubt the very necessary laundrette would be open right now or I would send OH to use the dryers there.. I could get 10 loads dry in no time.. I knew I should have bought industrial washers and dryers when I was replacing mine. I need it to be a bit warmer or at least blowy outside. I have 2 airers and end up with duvets and towels on doors! it looks so messy!I seem to have pulled my shoulder and back moving the tins of paint in the shed the other day.. so with the hormonal headache I am a bit crisp. OH is complaining he has no clean socks (unlikely!) so I said the dryer needs emptying and OH said 'ok' ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't I will do it... no I'm distressed in case he 'folds' things.Th snot fairy has visited here so my brain is dribbling out too.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)5

DD driven to work.
Wm x1 done and hung up indoors. Steady rain outside, but snow forecast for tomorrow.
HHI x 2 done. I can’t get to the airing cupboard as DH is pulling plaster from the landing ceiling...
Vacuum cleaning downstairs seems to be pointless exercise - see plaster above, which is dropping everywhere....
Phoned DSis. All ok, except that she didn't want to talk about the elephant in the room. Oh well.
At a loss for what to do next, so I’m having a cuppa, and looking for my sunglasses to hide the sparkle and shine from Round’s halo 😉.7 -
up and breakfasted. I have had a long lie in, watching a couple of old Call The midwife episodes on i player.
Took my old DVD player into work. And PAT testing is the week after next so that's a bit of serendipity.
DW x 1
House is a tip. I've to get planning for next week, too. And knit. Two babies born in one week...

Pigpen I've just sent you a marathon of a PM, sorry!
Yesterday I did a lot of my admin list:
- write up student lesson
-create and send pay claims for the latter
- paid credit card bill
- tried to book an eye test, argued over passwords, finally got in and found it had lost my booking for April but noticed that it isn't really due until June so will try again in a week or so
- finalised Mr T order for c & c today
- put the final leftover flowers in a vase as they were lurking in a bucket.
so today we have done the Garden Bird Watch (22 goldfinches!!) despite rain/sleet/snow. And emailing Pigpen was on my list!
I really really must now put any remaining CPD on the web site as I need to apply to renew my assessment certificate for another 3 yrs. I don't know why it is such a frog; it isn't especially difficult.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Keep your shades on Fayolle: I've emptied a bag from the living room and made myself a very mse lunch. I looked in the fridge and found eggs and cheese that needed using up so I made cheesy scrambled eggs on toast. And a apple to follow - as I hop on to the 'must lose weight/ eat more healthily' wagon .....again!
Pan and pots are now soaking ready to be WUDUPA.
