32" non-smart TV from Richer Sounds. (Can't vouch for the brand though - never heard of them). Add a Firestick for £29.99 (was £19.99 in previous sales) and you have (near enough) the equivalent of the Currys option with far better and more-flexible smart options.
Edit: my post came too late.

I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you0 -
I think you’ll be happy with that. You will notice a massive difference in picture quality. That’s a good price for a Samsung HDR tv hopefully you used the code and got £10 off and utilised their free home delivery. Have a look at Vodafone for Internet £22.95 for 63mb.Just_Passing_Bi said:PZ19, I've now purchased the Samsung UE32THDR LED TV1 -
Yes, I used to the code, £199.00 - £10 discount, + delivery £5.00 = £194.00 (delivery is tomorrow worth the £5.00) free delivery is 4/5 days. I'm so pleased with the outcome given all the help here, I couldn't have done it alone

Course you could, it’s a bit of a minefield TVs these days to be honest. I have a Samsung they are very good. Once you used to it they have the biggest range of smart apps. I started watching lot of YouTube stuff now it’s on tv, and the picture quality is superb. For your Internet before you do anything go on the uswitch website as they often do better prices than going direct, for example plusnet £25.50 for 66mb and you get a £75 reward card. All you do is put your postcode in and your provider and it shows you the options.Just_Passing_Bi said:Yes, I used to the code, £199.00 - £10 discount, + delivery £5.00 = £194.00 (delivery is tomorrow worth the £5.00) free delivery is 4/5 days. Can you set favourite programmes on a TV? I know you can select favourite channels but I've never seen the feature where you can set favourite programmes. (I know also you can set programmes to record - even series linked - but you need a recordable device to be able to do that).Jenni x1

Hello Jenni, no, when I press "source" on the remote, it's brings up settings/home/search/apps/homeI can't see anyhting on the remote or TV where it says favouritesI'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you0

My question was more generic rather than directed at you - I'm not sure what you're asking is even possible.
BTW Source simply selects which INPUT to display on the screen. Anything like Favourites will be under the Menu or Guide or EPG buttons (howsoever they are called on your remote).Jenni x1 -
That’s good to hear, thought you got the Samsung one though not toshiba. I hope you managed to set up ok connecting tv to Internet etc..I bet the picture quality is better than you used to😀. The Hd channels for bbc etc start at Channel 101 for best pictureJust_Passing_Bi said:PZ19 said:Thanks everyone, especially PZ19, I purchased the above TV, really pleased with it, has all the programmes I was watching on VM, can't belive the amount of money I've wasted with VM over the years, when I could have purchased a smart TV.Only 1 issue I'm having, how do I set favourite programmes via the remote on the TV, I've looked in nsettings on the TV but tit doesn'tsay
this is the Samsung manual. It’s 205 pages so don’t print it out! Page 65 gives you instructions how to set favourite channels, but. Not programmes. You can’t do that although page 62 maybe what you want

are you ok with the smart features? Ie the apps. Samsung TV Plus gives you access to more channels including CNN. You press the home button to get the apps up and Samsung TV plus, just click on what you want. If you fancy extra channels, like movies or sky entertainment package, if you use now tv, you will get 7 days free. Make sure you cancel before the end of 7 days and you are likely to be offered a cheaper price to stay if that what you want. Don’t pay full price.2
