I would buy a new TV, if you can afford it, as your is quite old. Have a look at Richer sounds, choose the size you want and go from there.1

As has already been explained, it's possible that your TV does have a DTV (Freeview) tuner, you just need to select it from the tuning menu. Have you tried looking for any manual or user guide that might have been supplied with the television?Just_Passing_Bi said:it doesn't look like I have freeview on my TV1 -
Hello ChinoI don't have a manaul due to the age of the TVI'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you0

Every tv you buy now will have freeview installed. If you buying a new one look to richer sounds or John Lewis who have long guarantees. For best picture quality get one with freeview hd on if possible. Not sure what size you after but can get 32 inch Philips for £179 at Richer Sounds, not the full hd though. Alternatively if you want to keep your old tv, just buy a box. Argos has this one below, you will need a hdmi socket on back of your tv to connect it to. Check you have one of themJust_Passing_Bi said:Thanks for helping, it doesn't look like I have freeview on my TV, should I buy another TV with freeview or freeview box,not sure it it matters, but I won't have BB from next week?

Doesn’t for me alas..like I said your two options are buying a new tv or just buying a freeview box. If you can afford it I would get a new tv as yours is very old. Will you still have the Internet after leaving virgin? If so you could buy a firestick from Amazon that makes tv a smart tv. All that means is it gives you access to apps such as Now Tv, Apple TV, Netflix etc that requires a subscription. One good tip with now tv is you get a free 7 day trial then you can cancel and more often than not they will offer you a deal at cheaper price for 6 months. You will need the Internet though for now tvJust_Passing_Bi said:1
