    You are dragging the thread off topic and ranting about the wrong APA. This is not the platform for it.

    We know that BPA member firms do all sorts of rogue stuff, including that:
    (A) ANPR (used and abused by their flagship firm, ParkingEye) is flawed, not synchronised and actively cheats people in double-dip cases, etc. and;
    (B) the 'consideration period' (now you see it, now you don't) anti-consumer drivel in the Jan 2020 BPA CoP is a joke, and;
    (C) the WHOPLA debacle was atrocious, cynical and a morally bankrupt decision by the BPA at the time, and;
    (D) the BPA cheated the public and the Dept for Transport in 2012 during discussions about the impact of the POFA 2012 and keeper liability, and;
    (E) the numbers of PCNs issued is obscene, and that ParkingEye alone are responsible for a fifth of them, and that must stop, and;
    (F) the amount claimed by other firms is double recovery, and;
    (G) the BPA are as guilty as the IPC in that they are both apologists which exist to prop up a thug industry and sweep complaints under the carpet.

     ...all of which needs tackling...

    ...but in this context, fair play to the BPA and this is not the place to rant about them.  The summary above is enough.

    The IPC should be ashamed but they won't be.

     @AnotherForumite will think the IPC policy is acceptable.

    But the problem here is not the BPA.

    The morally reprehensible 'policy' is the one published by the IPC.  Shows where their priorities lie.

    We already knew but I thought that they might actually make an effort to at least look like they are playing nicely and care about people, by paying lip service to the need to make sure that known disabled people are not penalised for having their vaccination.  But no.  The clampers reverted to type.
    Credit where credit is due to the BPA
    We all know that the IPC really are bottom feeders
    BT ....  what credit is due to the BPA ???   UKPC and OPC still operate ... what does that tell you about the BPA ??
    And the rest of the BPA members we see here still tail wagging the BPA dog
    i dont like the BPA or what it stands for
    However its head and shoulders above the IPC. You complain to the BPA about something your quite often get a result.  unlike the IPC who just waft it away
    that does not mean i am steve Clarks biggest  fan but they are far far better then IPC in many regards

    Look, we know the Davies/Hurley operation is a Wonga type operation. We also know that the IAS will be a dodo when an independent appeals service comes into force as with POPLA

    We must never forget WHOPLA that the BPA introduced ........ now that was a scam approved by the BPA

    The IPC failed to respond to you as expected,

    I object. Kindly stop posting about the BPA on this thread.  You are confusing people who might miss the point.

    This thread is about both ATA's ..... there can be no confusion about the motives
    So, do you actually think the BPA is in the interests of the motorist ?

    Why do you support the BPA ?     There is simply no point in prolonging this thread, this is an offline conversation, in the past I have offered you my phone number but you won't do that ?
    So email is the only answer, will you do that ?

    Because it's not worth the time.  This is silly.

    Your replies are ruining an important thread exposing the IPC's horrendous policy that allows vulnerable people to get unfair PCNs for being late back to their cars, or not having a 'permit' when getting a COVID vaccination.

    As has been said, a PCN arriving could easily cause a person to refuse to return for their second jab.

    Agreed it's very silly when you and I have had good chats over email

    A reminder, I have made very clear about the IPC as seen above

    This thread header says "policy responses from trade bodies"

    Not just the IPC but the BPA as well.

    Ok, tell you what, let's work out a plan of action to destroy the IPC, it cannot be that difficult in the current climate ..... I still have the same email addy you know

    The problem is that many people are stupid,  gullible, or too trusting.

    I have just watched Rip Off Britain, a smart looking tradesman chap was conned out of £11,000 by a scammer using a cold call HMRC scam  The recorded call is so blatantly   a scam that anyone who falls for it needs to be protected.

    You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

    I will flag on various medical groups including British Medical Association.
    Hopefully these organisations can be shut down!
