As a Covid-19 vaccinator I am utterly disgusted that patients and staff may be given a parking charge. I am volunteering my time to vaccinate. Recipients are grateful to receive the jab – some in tears of joy.
Despicable behaviour from these companies. Name and shame.
I will flag on various medical groups including British Medical Association.
Hopefully these organisations can be shut down!
Best wishes
You are right, these people are the lowest form of low life we know
Both ATA's should be terminated and replaced with a government run system.
Tell me, after you have given the jab, you give a card confirming with the date and the next jab.
This has no personal information I understand1 -

So any site with a yellow (ochre) roundel and 'IPC' in the middle is at risk of unfair ticketing.
Blue roundel (BPA AOS) and the patients are safe from ticketing or it must be cancelled according to BPA policy.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

People should be given free parking when going for their jab. The most vulnerable have had to go to the centres because the Pfizer vaccine was the first to be approved. Many of them have disabled badges.
In Lichfield where the tickets were cancelled after the landowner intervened most car parks are run by the local authority. Some may have thought that disabled could park free of charge which they would in a local authority car park.
The lack of parity between PPC and LA car parks causes a lot of problems. I hope that when the new CoP is introduced that disabled people can park free in all car parks. Disabled badges are not misused by disabled people.

"LNER has said its making one of its long stay car parks free for those getting the covid jab in some nearby centre"
That is good news. The actions of some regarding the most vulnerable in our society is putting the IPC to shame. They seem OK with preying on the most vulnerable. Dreadful organisation.

Card has your name, name of vaccine, batch number, date given & date of next jab - however latter may not be included due to changing policy.2 -

What if the patient was dropped off for the jab and the driver, the keeper, was waiting.?
A perfect situation for a PPC to reject

The head of the UK's data privacy watchdog has told MPs she can see the benefit of Covid-19 immunity passports, but warned they could pose data privacy risks and create a 'two-tier' society based on who has had the jab.
Information commissioner Elizabeth Denham told MPs such a system would raise concerns about how health data was being shared.
The BPA and IPC need this information to cancel tickets ? ... or similar
I know whose side I am on, the ICO ..... Both BPA and IPC and their members simply cannot be trusted when it comes to data.
So I guess that any parking company who wants proof by way of data should be reported to the ICO

Coupon-mad said:You are dragging the thread off topic and ranting about the wrong APA. This is not the platform for it.
We know that BPA member firms do all sorts of rogue stuff, including that:
(A) ANPR (used and abused by their flagship firm, ParkingEye) is flawed, not synchronised and actively cheats people in double-dip cases, etc. and;
(B) the 'consideration period' (now you see it, now you don't) anti-consumer drivel in the Jan 2020 BPA CoP is a joke, and;
(C) the WHOPLA debacle was atrocious, cynical and a morally bankrupt decision by the BPA at the time, and;
(D) the BPA cheated the public and the Dept for Transport in 2012 during discussions about the impact of the POFA 2012 and keeper liability, and;
(E) the numbers of PCNs issued is obscene, and that ParkingEye alone are responsible for a fifth of them, and that must stop, and;
(F) the amount claimed by other firms is double recovery, and;
(G) the BPA are as guilty as the IPC in that they are both apologists which exist to prop up a thug industry and sweep complaints under the carpet.
...all of which needs tackling...
...but in this context, fair play to the BPA and this is not the place to rant about them. The summary above is enough.
The IPC should be ashamed but they won't be.
@AnotherForumite will think the IPC policy is acceptable.
The BPA policy erodes a landowners rights and dictates that anyone who is having a covid jab can park ANYWHERE with impunity; it is not limited to the test/vaccination centres.It is wholly unacceptable for a landowner, who’s land is in the locality of a test/vaccination centre, to have every man and his dog parking on his/her land as they see fit.The IPC policy takes a balanced stance and encourages operators to make evidence based concessions; rather than the BPAs ‘let’s have a free for all’ attitude.
To reiterate, re-read the BPA policy and you will see that it is not just limited to the test/vaccination centres; which is unacceptable and they are letting their members and associated landowners down to score PR points.0
