@ashleighflint, we're in exactly the same boat, it's so stressful not having any idea what's going on.
I got my hopes up at first too, because it seemed to be moving fast with the valuation etc, and now just nothing, weeks of nothing. It's messing with my mind. All I can think about is 'what if's'. Horrible feeling.
I really hope everyone gets a positive response very soon to put us all out of this misery.3 -
Took me 2 hours but I finally got our application number, and just as I suspected our broker didn't actually submit our paperwork until the 13th September, so all this time I've been thinking it was all submitted on the 5th I've been adding an extra week to our wait.
Last updated 20th, and all it says is they are reviewing our statements/accounts.1 -
Hi all, my first post here, but I'm also experiencing a slow painful process with our remortgage with NatWest.
We applied on 17th August, our valuation was instructed within 2 days and an in-person valuation completed the following week which all came back ok. It's been a waiting game since then! Our broker says the timescales they quote on the intermediaries site are inaccurate and in truth do take much longer. Optima legal have been instructed by NatWest to undertake the legals and they are chasing me every week for the mortgage offer which isn't helping with my anxiety!
I'm sure like many others, we are freaking out as if this remortgage doesn't go through, rates have risen significantly from the the rate we applied for in mid-August and we would have to reapply to a different lender with rates 2.5% higher than what we originally applied for.
Anyone else apply mid-August and still waiting?0 -

I'm really hoping we get our offer through soon, and for everyone else waiting, that we all get a favourable outcome.1 -

Hi all, submitted today. So thought I’d come on here and find some info from applicants and see how everyone’s process is going.
partner employed and am self employed.
had a few credit issues but nearly 4 years ago. The whole mortgage process is awful and so stressful.
So we’ve been through all of the stress and pain, ups and downs and we received an offer by Aldermore but unfortunately we need 2/3 weeks more and they won’t give us an extension, just as everyone’s ready to complete so we are back on the hunt for a mortgage.
Good luck everyone!0 -
So glad I found this! Also waiting for a NatWest offer!
Applied via broker 15/09 - nothing since.
Tracker has 3 things ticked, must check it 100 times a day!Good luck everyone!0
