@ashleighflint, we're in exactly the same boat, it's so stressful not having any idea what's going on.

I got my hopes up at first too, because it seemed to be moving fast with the valuation etc, and now just nothing, weeks of nothing. It's messing with my mind. All I can think about is 'what if's'. Horrible feeling.

I really hope everyone gets a positive response very soon to put us all out of this misery.

Took me 2 hours but I finally got our application number, and just as I suspected our broker didn't actually submit our paperwork until the 13th September, so all this time I've been thinking it was all submitted on the 5th I've been adding an extra week to our wait.

Last updated 20th, and all it says is they are reviewing our statements/accounts.
  • Hi all, my first post here, but I'm also experiencing a slow painful process with our remortgage with NatWest.

We applied on 17th August, our valuation was instructed within 2 days and an in-person valuation completed the following week which all came back ok. It's been a waiting game since then! Our broker says the timescales they quote on the intermediaries site are inaccurate and in truth do take much longer. Optima legal have been instructed by NatWest to undertake the legals and they are chasing me every week for the mortgage offer which isn't helping with my anxiety!

I'm sure like many others, we are freaking out as if this remortgage doesn't go through, rates have risen significantly from the the rate we applied for in mid-August and we would have to reapply to a different lender with rates 2.5% higher than what we originally applied for.

Anyone else apply mid-August and still waiting?

This happened to me, optima legal were hounding me every day.  In the end I called Natwest and found out that it went to offer hence why optima was instructed but there was system error so was sitting in limbo - my case had to go to the tech team to sort out.  basically they ran 2 credit checks one on 17th august and one on the 23rd as they had got my dob wrong the first time (both searches on my credit file).  inbetween those date my credit file had updated with a credit card being paid off so the figures were inaccurate and not matching what i disclosed and the offer being priduced.  took 24 hours to sort and send the offer.  i had to call and wait but it was worth it ... not saying this is the same but the fact that optima have been assigned is good - and mine bounced back to check at the last hurdle.  hope that makes sense.
Looking to remortgage December 2022 onto a better rate!

So glad I found this post - applied 2 Sept, additional docs requested on 22 Sept and now nothing.  I called to get the tracking number and have only checked 3 times today 👀. Slowly loosing my mind!

Don't worry, you're in good company, we can all slowly loose the plot together 😉

Ah that's really interesting. They have also incorrectly entered my DOB too and are blaming it on the broker! Sounds like it could actually be a processing issue on NatWest's side. Unfortunately I know ours hasn't gone to offer yet, as they requested info as we are currently building an extension so want detailed plans etc.

I'm really hoping we get our offer through soon, and for everyone else waiting, that we all get a favourable outcome.

Hi all, submitted today. So thought I’d come on here and find some info from applicants and see how everyone’s process is going.

partner employed and am self employed.

had a few credit issues but nearly 4 years ago. The whole mortgage process is awful and so stressful.

So we’ve been through all of the stress and pain, ups and downs and we received an offer by Aldermore but unfortunately we need 2/3 weeks more and they won’t give us an extension, just as everyone’s ready to complete so we are back on the hunt for a mortgage.

    Good luck everyone!
  • So glad I found this! Also waiting for a NatWest offer!
Applied via broker 15/09 - nothing since.
Tracker has 3 things ticked, must check it 100 times a day!
    Good luck everyone!
