30/7 - full application submitted

3/8 - valuation instructed, got an email to say we are approved with underwriting subject to valuation

5/8 - about 5 mins ago, we got our offer!

I have recently submitted a first time buyer joint mortgage application through a mortgage advisor with NatWest.

28/07 Mortgage Application Submitted
01/08 Acknowledgement of documents recieved
01/08 Tracker shows reviewing payslips submitted
04/08 Valuation took place
05/08 Acknowledgement of valuation report recieved and are assessing the report.

I am wondering if anyone had confirmation their documents (payslips and statements) were approved before getting their mortgage offer? As ours seems to be moving quickly with the valuation etc but had no confirmation any documents have been approved and our tracker says it is all still being checked.

Ours tracked exactly like yours, we never got told that our payslips and other documents were approved. So on the 3rd it said where you are at now, and this morning we got our offer

They've never said anything about mine other than requesting another document so I assume all is OK other than verification of my partners pay. Valuation was today but as far as I'm aware his boss hasn't recieved the letter asking for the reference 😳

Thats great thanks for sharing Hopefully we will hear back in the next few days then based on your application, fingers crossed! We received an update this morning through our broker saying the valuation report has been assessed and is all good, so hoping next stage is the offer decision

We have now been in our new home 2 weeks today and absolutely love being in our new home . Conveying took 9 weeks in total without any problems at all !!

We have just had our mortgage offer through 10/08! We didn't hear much throughout the whole process and our tracker updated all at once, on the same day we received our offer.

Thought I'd pop my update on, have had an email from the underwriting team to say the application has been passed to offer and we should recieve it tomorrow. So about 4-5 weeks for us, but had some delays with paperwork.

Found this thread useful, so here is our remortgage timeline. Would have been quicker if we did not get the down-valuation (we were already conservative with the valuation we gave).

23 days (would have been less without the down-valuation). 

03-Aug-2022: Submitted documents to broker, agreement in principle

08-Aug-2022: Valuation booked

09-Aug-2022: Valuation completed

12-Aug-2022: Down-valuation confirmed by NatWest

15-Aug-2022: Post valuation query (PVQ) request sent to broker.

16-Aug-2022: Broker submitted PVQ.

22-Aug-2022: PVQ answered, down-valuation stands. Changed mortgage product. 

25-Aug-2022: Offer
