    Hard credit search showing
    Valuation booked in for 02/07

After trying to go with Santander since April really hoping switch to Natwest gives us good news!

Is it OK to ask broker for mortgage application number to track online? Feel like I've non stopped bothering him!!

Our valuation has been postponed until 08/07 as our surveyor has to self isolate!
    So annoying!

  • My first ever post although I have been reading and lurking for some time!

We applied for our mortgage yesterday (29/06), this morning when I logged into tracker it showed that evidence had been received (11 different entries) and would be reviewed. When I looked just now all of these entries were ticked and it said valuation had been instructed. Does this mean the mortgage is approved subject to valuation?

I am panicking as whilst I am employed and have a really good salary, my husband is self employed and I’m aware the banks are really scrutinising their applications. Whilst he had an increase in turnover and profit last year and was lucky that he didn’t have to access furlough, I’ve made the silly mistake of reading the horror stories of people being turned down.

Hoping someone can help alleviate my concerns.
Hi, can anyone help? The underwriter has asked us to increase our deposit now to £92k from £90k. If we do, will this mean we are approved subject to valuation? Thanks
  • Hi,

FTB, AIP in place and we submitted our full application to NatWest through a broker on Monday 28th June. Further documents requested (bank statements and payslips before maternity leave) all sent on 29th June. Advised our valuation is booked for 26th July, this seems like a very long way off? Is anyone else being held up due to valuation date?

Does this mean everything else is ok?!

We have some adverse credit but all settled as of March 2019. Very anxious to hear some positive news.

    any reassurance much appreciated! 😰

Hi, how did you find out your valuation was booked? We applied last week and still awaiting news after the underwriter asked us to increase our deposit on Friday. Fingers crossed for you; completely understand how you are feeling! 😬

Our broker emailed to say the valuation was booked but I’m not aware of anything else ie are we approved subject to valuation?

Can I ask what deposit you are putting down? We have 10% and really hope they don’t ask for higher! 😰
  • @Fingerscrossed1989, we’ve got £90k / 20% deposit but my husband is self employed and the banks are being very cautious so finding it extremely stressful 😢

I understand. It’s so stressful, the not knowing is awful! My broker has contacted me today to say we have been accepted and are now just waiting for the valuation to take place!! 🤞🏻 Apparently the delay is due to it being the earliest possible date for the surveyors. But I’ve seen on here that people have had it much much quicker. Ours isn’t for another 3 weeks!

@Fingerscrossed1989 it must be the day for good news as we’ve had confirmation too that it’s accepted subject to valuation!!! Now to start stressing about whether it will come back at the offer we made 😬🤣🤞
