    Hi All
My application was submitted on 15th July via our broker .
We are staying with NatWest but remortgaging and borrowing more so need a new valuation done .( plus changed mortgage brokers)

15th July Hard search and affordability both completed

17th July ID and money laundering completed.

18th  July more information required and uploaded .

19th July at 2.30pm got a text to
    book my house validation.

spoke to broker who said this is all positive as Natwest have instructed the valuation since going to the under writter.

9th August - valuation to be completed . 3 week wait now.  😩 broker said not to worry .
Hey are you booking your own valuation? I thought its something bank books? Or your mortgage broker needs to book it for you?
    NatWest contacted Connells
and got this text from them yesterday.

“Connells Survey and Valuation have been instructed to carry out an inspection on your property. To arrange please contact … “

So I called and they booked me in for 9th August .
Wow, I didn't know Connells do survey and valuation as well. I thought they are only estate agents.
In my case when I tried to book home buyer survey just to make sure NatWest will do in property inspection, was asked to contact Legal and General Surveyors. However I didnt go for it as it was 585 GBP. Moreover I had already done building survey worth 650 GBP.

Lets see how they will do valuation in this case. It seems they (legal and general or natwest) will contact to estate agent only.
  • @jord411 ours was with Connells too but for an onward purchase. Wereceived the survey yesterday which was completed on 14 July but the valuation was sent to the underwriter on the same day as they visited the property, so super quick 😁

Here, I got below update from NatWest tracker.
Is it standard message? Is that what you guys saw on same day before actual offer? @WorriedKirkels

Hi, yes, very similar - we just didn’t get the link shown on yours. I think I then logged in every few minutes until the status updated (felt like a lifetime waiting but in reality was less than 24 hours!) What does the link say about waiting times for them to review? I knew we had the mortgage before the MA updated us or digidocs / email was sent to us as I was constantly checking. Hope that helps and good luck it comes back at the value you have offered 🤞 x
