  • Hi all

    First time posting!!

I have been stalking this forum for months while embarking on my FTB journey and thought I would provide my timeline for people who may be over thinkers like myself!

    FYI applied via a broker!

23/08/21 - AIP received (was told this would be a hard search, was actually soft!)
    26/08/21 - Full application submitted
    27/08/21 - Documentation submitted
01/09/21 - Agreed subject to valuation

My valuation is booked on the 8th, so if all goes well, hoping to receive an offer soon after.

Those still waiting, find something to distract yourself. As smooth as  my process has been (so far), I have been at breaking point!!! xx

  • Finally received our mortgage offer this morning after 2 weeks!

Just a bit confused with the special conditions in the T&Cs as the offer is subject to them. It states that a standard valuation report will be paid by them, however they had the valuation done a few days after we applied. Do they do two lots of valuations or could this be standard terms they put in the T&Cs?
  • Applied via broker.

Had a few issues with the valuation. They wanted us to have a roof inspector to come out to check the roof. We ended getting two out to be on the safe side and sent the reports off yesterday.

I was wondering does anyone know how long it will be for the valuer to say yes or no to our mortgage once they have looked at the reports we sent?

    Here is my timeline:
    19/7/2021 - AIP
    05/8/2021 - full application
15/8/2021 - Seller pulls out find a new property
20/8/2021 - Seller comes back and we go back to the first property
    31/08/2021 - Valuation completed
01/09/2021 - Valuer wants us to complete flat roof inspection
04/09/2021 - two flat roof inspections completed
6/9/2021 - sent off inspection reports to natwest and broker.

    Waiting for a decision…

Habito sent my application to Natwest yesterday.

Saw a soft credit check on Experian. Nothing has shown on Clearscore.

this morning the credit check on Experian has disappeared…

How/when will I know if I’ve passed the credit check/underwriting/affordability
    checks?

Hope all goes well today. Natwest have sent off our inspection reports they asked for after their valuation. I was told it should be around 48 hours to get a response either yes, no or want more stuff. 😣

    So might hear something tomorrow.
