Hi, I have started the 1p challenge end of December is it possible to join please ?1
-
I have started this many times over the years and always dipped into the money when I needed it. This year I did the £55.67 by direct debit each month and had lots of money for the grandchildren 's Christmas. Add my name to next year's saving again.1

Oooh I definitely want to sign up to next year … I might even break down the £55.67 to a weekly amount as I often put my left over cash allowance pot into my Natwest “treat” account so my plan this year is to transfer the money to my esaver account and use that for Christmas spending money for next year!Hopefully when the new thread is created someone will be kind enough to put the link in here for us to go register and I am happy for whatever number comes along please!

Well done everyone for getting to the end of the year - I didn't comment for a couple of months but I did it
I did it with uneven monthly payments and I'm really chuffed I managed.
#30 - done!! £667.95!Pushing the pennies around to try and make pounds...

Hello everyone - happy new year's eve! #21 checking in to report that I've just added my last penny to the pot and hit that lovely £667.95! I'm thrilled to have done this for the third year running and will be off shortly to tuck the money away in Premium Bonds ready to hopefully make a little bit more money! But I'll be ready tomorrow to start again, backwards, with my £3.65 for the 2022 challenge. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and well done to everybody who has managed to save in whatever way has worked for you - may you enjoy your pennies however you plan to!
Happy new year to you all and happy saving!xxx

Well done CazzieLT. So satisfying isn't it! I also put my money in premium bonds which doubles as my emergency fund. They will be eligible for the January draw as I completed the challenge at the end of November and banked straight away so here's hoping one of my tickets gets lucky.
I also work backwards (hard to start with but eases up nicely in the summer months) and save all my 1p, 2p and 5p coins in a separate tub to go towards the final month to finish that little bit earlier.
