going through the pre inspection document, ‘exhaust condition’ is ticked as being completely fine, my understanding is, the exhaust would be from the manifold, back to the rear silencer ? Or am I wrong ? The DPF would be in between that ?
please correct me if I’m wrong.
The car has an exhaust that isn't leaking and the emissions are within mot tolerances.
Unless you've blanked out the personal details that could be for any vehicle.
guess this isn’t a proof doc then.
Finance have sent him a email, awaiting his reply and possible resolution (return of the vehicle) as I don’t want to ‘ruin’ my car as he’s kindly told me on a few occasions.
In regards to date and times of the ecu, I can’t comment on that, they have told me it would store a code (regardless of whether it’s been returned to standard).0 -

the car also has NO silencers, I’ve been under the ramp while it was at Ford and seen that for myself.
Without the DPF you will have a car that operates more efficiently with more power, better fuel efficiency and never having to worry about future DFP issues. It's stupid that your making such a fuss about this when you should have been happy the DFP wasn't there and looked at is as a bonus. You said it was cut and welded shut so wouldn't have failed any MOT's either.

I've had plenty of cars with modified exhausts and remaps etc that i have driven around without issues and know plenty of other people who have too. Who really cares? Your just going to worry yourself into an early grave if things like that bother you so much.
What warranty is it? I'm assuming this is a warranty that the dealer purchased from a third party and not a warranty supplied directly from the dealer.
This warranty is probably so limited anyway that your extremely unlikely to have any issues covered by it. But even if you do then it's extremely unlikely that they will be taking apart the exhaust to try and find reasons to pass on to the warranty company why they should refuse it. The garage will want the work so will not be looking for reasons to pass on to the warranty company so they refuse to pay out.1 -

The insurance company have thrown you a lifeline but only for five days, you don't want them cancelling the policy. That's something you need to do after returning the car.1 -

I’ve just updated them with the whole
insurance thing too, and they’re going to contact the dealer again, my partner has just found their Facebook page, if I used it myself and looked there, I’d of known to steer clear, this isn’t the first complaint they’ve had regarding similar.
There’s a review regarding mileage clocking, and they’ve replied back to the review saying ‘well that isn’t our problem, you signed the waiver’0 -

No doubt their website is a generic one looking like any other car trader of the type you visited.
Hate to say it but the time to do your homework was before agreeing to buy the car.1
