Why on earth would the engine need replacing, because the DPF has been gutted?

The route out of this is simple. Return the damn car and claim against vendor and finance.

You're surely more intelligent than your coming across I would hope? RE-READ, then RE-READ again.
What I was trying to say, to put into laymans terms is .. WORST CASE SCENARIO IF MY ENGINE BLEW UP I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THAT, THE DPF (BECAUSE THERE ISNT ONE CURRENTLY), AND A STOCK ECU.
THE REASON I WOULD NEED TO FOOT THIS BILL IS BECAUSE MY WARRANTY IS COMPLETELY INVALID.

Why would not having a DPF cause your engine to blow up?

Just return the car and get that claim launched. Everything else is wasting time.

Adrian, That isn't what I'm saying, It could blow up due to something completely different.
My point is, IF anything major went wrong, Id need to replace it with my own money, due to not being able to complete a claim due to invalid warranty. If this is to hard to understand , then I can not simplify it anymore.

So instead of arguing on here, why not jump in the car and return it to the dealer with a letter of rejection? I would act quick before your insurance is cancelled leading to further problems and costs.

I would of hoped it was that simple , I purchased the car from 200 miles away, the finance company is now dealing with it (Still in tier 4 lockdown here, and police are monitoring the motorways highly).
My only way is getting the vehicle transported, but without any written/formal information accepting the car back, i cant go ahead yet.
  • You didn't bother looking for Sts closer to home.  No good moaning about distance when you choose to buy from 200 miles away...

I'm not moaning, I'm just stating its not as easy as to just jump in and drive there given current circumstances.

    It is.

That's not the vendor's problem, unless they delivered it.

Unless you return it physically, you are in a vicious circle.
If the retailer and/or financier don't accept the rejection, then you won't return it.
If you don't return it, you cannot escalate the claim for your money to court, and are relying on the retailer and/or financier accepting the rejection.

If you feel better getting it transported, then get it transported. Quid a mile is around the going rate.

And you'll still be in tier 4 at the end of the week when your insurance is cancelled.
