With me having my 3 bank accounts (no, I am not loaded!) I am trying to maximise any account with the highest interest available. I do move my money into these accounts monthly trying to do my best. I have now named other small balance accounts with Tilly to help me see where I am going. I have actually "Tillied" my sons debt for him on a CC and today that is now clear.
He still has one outstanding and his Tilly and extra payment will be snowballed onto that one next. Both of us on a win, win. (Don't ask why I'm doing this, long story)

I get where you're coming from, 2Scratters. I have 3 bank accounts plus 3 associated 'savers' . Like you I'm definitely NOT loaded! but after clearing a massive amount of debt after a lifetime of chaotic financial dumbness I think I've devised a system that works for me. Gets slightly complicated at times but well worth the effort and juggling that it sometimes takes. The money I'm counting for this challenge is just from tidying up after other transactions. Things like Premium Bond winnings (another £50 this month, I'm on a lucky streak!), cashback, refunds, profits from eBay sales etc, all go directly into another savings account and are not counted in the Tilly challenge.2Scratters said:With me having my 3 bank accounts (no, I am not loaded!) I haven't updated my tidying total for ages but here's the latest tally: £13.73 tidied today making £38.01 for March so far and a running total of £205.13 for the year.
Happy tidying, everyone.

Liking your work, everyone! 💪
I start census work tomorrow; zoom training in the am. Bit nervous but hopefully will b straightforward enough.
Thought is this will be the last ever scheduled 10 year census (5, 6 & 7G will be counting our Cornflakes in years to come; filling a form in online or on paper will be so old fashioned in 2031, lol.)
A little bit of history then, being involved in the last ever census. 🤗Admin for Tilly Tidy to £1825 DFW challenge: 2021

Good work with the census. As someone who has dabbled in genealogy, they are such a huge source of information.1

Absolutely! I first became interested in genealogy back in the pre-internet days (showing my age now!). Census information has always been gold dust. It always amazed me how much could happen in the 10 years between each publication of a census. It took forever back then though tracking down original sources up and down the country, poring over microfiche machines etc. I often used to do 'look ups' for people from all over the world who were trying to trace their roots in this country and didn't have access to source materials. Even floppy discs were a godsend when they came on the scene! As for CDs, my life was transformed LOL. Now, with so much relevant information available online and accessible by a 'click' in the comfort of our own homes genealogy is a doddle compared to the 'hard yards' travelled during the 70s and 80s.Naomim said:Good work with the census. Sorry, got sidetracked by waffling on about genealogy. I really dropped in to update my Tilly totals to date. Added a little more, now standing at £55.04 for the month. I might just be on track to scrape £1000 by New Year's Eve but won't be holding my breath.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone. Spring Equinox is here, let's hope the dark days of the lockdown winter will be fast disappearing in the rear-view mirror.

I hope everyone has had a good week and is looking forward to meeting up with a few people again next week, even though it's still only a few and the weather isn't exactly conducive to sitting outside in gardens. Looks as if a short-lived sunny and warm spell is on its way but then back to really cold nights and cooler days. There was a dusting of snow here in Cumbria the other day!
Just done a final tidy for this week. My March total now stands at £81.48, yearly total to date is £248.60.

Final tidy for March gives a total of £99.42 for the month. Best month so far and am chuffed with the amount saved just by daily small dribs and drabs. Best way I've found yet for painless and almost effortless saving. Thanks, IrishSean!
Started off my April pot with £5.31. Total for 2021 to date is now £271.85.
Long time no see for some of the original posters so I hope you're all well and managing to keep saving. Wishing everyone an enjoyable Easter break.

Bit late for the April check in - managed £155.90 as squirrelled away what would have been the council tax.
Well done to others for chipping away too
hopefully you're all getting good weather over the weekend wherever you are! Pushing the pennies around to try and make pounds...
