Tilly Tidy to £1825 by 31/12/2021!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, until today that is when I seem to be monopolising the thread!  I've been slowly tidying all the while though and February's total is better than January's despite being a shorter month.  I'm still not saving huge amounts but am pleased how it's working as it's easy and painless and the pounds really do mount up.

Saved a total of £92.17 in February.  There won't be any more to trickle in until the start of March so I'll declare at that.  Total for 2021 so far is £167.12 which puts me on track for reaching approx £1000 by the end of the year (6x £167.12 =£1002.72).  I'm only 'tidying' up to £5 a day so Sean's original target of £1825 will sadly be beyond me.


I hope all challengers are safe and well and managing to enjoy the sunshine and the lighter mornings and evenings even though we can't exactly go out much yet.

Rounding pot is currently at £6.11 however there's £9 of my monthly spend left so if I don't spend that by tomorrow (no plans so not likely) then I'll add to my tt pot and that will make a £15.11 overpayment to one of those pesky cc debts.

Hello all, well done on the squirrelling away I'm at £189.57 this month and think that'll be me for Feb as not spending much (thanks week long hospital stay!). Have also 'withdrawn' a different kind of pound a couple of weeks ago - just over 5.5lb of small boy

I feel like a perennial absentee landlord on this thread! I'm prepping for census work commencing Sat for 2 months, homeschooling 4 and have sold the car to a customer in Ireland who can't register it because we're missing a customs clearance form: unreal. Saga has gone on 2 weeks now!

On the + side my tidy is £360 💪😃

Sounds like you've been really busy and will continue to be for some time to come, Sean.  All children in England are due to go back to school next Monday.  Sounds like a logistical nightmare but we have to hope Boris and Co know what they're doing!  I  seem to think NI schools don't reopen for a while yet.  Lucky you, more homeschooling;) 

Several little tidies since 1st March totalling £24.28.  A lot of my spending happens early in the month.

A few times on a Monday I've tidied for previous 3 days and taken an average. Most days I'm getting on at 9 tho. £399.40 rolling total. 🤗

With annual rates coming up I'm looking at it enviously,  having just paid £330 in a week on home ins. & tv licence, but going to be good and leave my til-pot untouched 💪

I think I will go a split between Christmas, the car loan and DW spring break Mar 22. 

Am liking that ad on TV "your future self will thank you"... clever marketing; definitely presses the buttons of us on the DFW pages

Just a bit of tidying for me £3.40 so far this month.  Obviously I know I won't be anywhere near the £1825.00 but these small amounts at least are adding up and giving me a small monthly overpayment to my credit card debts which is better than no overpayments 😁
